Have to admit, I haven't cared overly much for anything she's written in quite a while.

I liked Take a Thief, but haven't read the Alberich book -- as I recall, those are the latest novels in Valdemar. Thief was pretty good, especially in showing that Valdemar is not entirely made up of Shiny Happy People. Haven't read anything else of hers in quite a while, though.
