With regards to "A Different Perspective"...
It started off well. I liked it.
Then it started bringing in all this weirdness. A city near Konoha? Cybernetics? What the what now? And that's just the tip of the strangeness iceberg.
Normally I have no issue with surreality in stories - but that's when I'm expecting it. And it's fine if the surreality is clearly part of the basic premise. Here it just seemed totally left field, not adequately worked in, not adequately explained. So to me, the entire story just...collapses under the weight of all this stuff I can't track. I get confused. I can no longer follow the narrative.
I think that's a shame, since, as I said, I did enjoy the starting bits.
There's something I like to call Bad Fanfic Complexity. This is it. I hit that point several chapters back, where I could no longer grok what was going on. Preachiness is the least of the author's problems.
A friend of mine once said, "If you can't sum up your concept in a single sentence, it's time to go back to the drawing board".
