Yes, Team 8 and Soul Voice are both very distinctly AU, but... They have clearly defined points of divergence, and, given those points, carry the characters in directions consistent with their presentation in canon. See, in Naruto canon, our title character is assigned to Team 7, under Hatake Kakashi and in company with Haruno Sakura and Uchiha Sasuke. The characterisations of the latter three presented in Team 8... aren't unfair, really, but, due to the nature of its divergence, show only a fraction of their personalities. Soul Voice is another AU of equally tremendously cool quality, which focuses on Sakura and gives her her due as a character and as a person. There's almost certainly a third fic out there that gives equal insight into the last of the three core characters of the franchise, but, alas, I haven't read it yet and so can't give a reccomendation. ^_^ Ja, -n =============================================== "Puripuri puripuri... Actually, that's not the divergance for Team 8, and those are by no means the only characters who have been impacted. Are you part of the author's Yahoo group? Suiren is another amazing Sakura piece, and does some wonderful things with her character.

There's a Horror manga called "Uzumaki" ("spiral" in Japanese), about a town that has a LOT of bizarre events involving spirals. REALLY creepy.
And, like most Japanese Horror I've come across, NOBODY gets out alive. There was a movie made off of it, but it was kinda *meh* to me. Why limit ourselves to characters and series titles?

Not sure if this has been doen before, but the TSAB sends one of their special investigators to see why this one dimension is causing all this trouble, and they send one of their new recruits on her first solo mission to the universe. Afterall it's not that threatening, and Hayate does have the knights in case there is trouble.
The place? Sunydale, California of course. And Giles just happens to have this old book that details the Schwertkreuz and how it destroys worlds (this is the Inteligent Device part of the Book of Darkness...). Camwyn is an incredibly good fanfic author. Have you read her Harry Potter/Constantine crossover ("Hellblazer: Hogwarts") or the Ghostbusters/Harry Potter crossover ("Who Ya Gonna Owl?") yet?
