Thea Matrina, the author of the promising "The Hero We Need" has decided to abandon fanfiction and focus her life on getting published and her spiritual endeavors.
As such, she's deleted her fics.--

Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaught of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

Deborah Goldsmith's Notes From Julliard has been updated for the first time in many months. For those of you unfamiliar with this story, I suggest you read its predecessors, Genma's Daughter and Equal Halves first. Yes, this is a Ranma story. No, it's not the usual.

"Mastermind Hunting" has a new chapter. I haven't read it yet, so I don't know how it stands vis-a-vis the minithread above about it jumping the shark.

Read it. Not as bad as the last chapter. Has one seriously interesting idea -- the mask culture of magical Venice -- although the author's skills are not really sophisticated enough to do it justice. I had rather hoped that he would have improved by now simply by dint of the volume of writing he's done, but no luck on that front. I think I'll keep reading for now.

Hehe. Well, the first chapter was a cliffhanger ending to see if people were interested enough to go on to chapter two. As for chapter *two*... when I was writing it, it just seemed to jump out at me as the logical place to break the chapter. The Knight Sabers convene in an emergency conference, to learn that they've been hired by their archnemesis to find their archnemesis' leader. The only way that could have been a bigger whiffle bat over the head is if it had been to find Quincy. So the stunned looks exchanged all around seemed like the perfect break point.
As for more weirdness, count chapter 3 to have some power armor combat, GENOM relying on tried-and-true techniques without Madigan around to rein them in, and a pair of lost girls finding an unexpected ally when it all falls apart on them. Plus, an unexpected enemy from their past returns, on oh yes! More Fanservice! ![[Image: happy.gif]](http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/happy.gif)

Very nice, and the surprise revelation of our medical thief caught me right between the eyes. I never considered her , but your explanation makes perfect sense.
A couple points, though, I'd like to make:
Quincy's plan was not to summon Doug from Warriors' World, but to force his own universe to spontaneously spawn superheroes to oppose him.
Doug doesn't carry traces of the Servant Factor Virus. What he has are active Seeder Genes -- the source of metahuman powers in WW. Quincy intended to reverse-engineer his own version of the SFV using Doug's power-genes.
My only other suggestion would be give Daley a chance to think about his boyfriend from Priss' band every once in a while.
