Buffy... What are the good fics?
02-25-2008, 02:05 AM
Here we go for the fourth time. This time i'm on a Buffy kick, and I've been having rather poor luck at finding anything engrossing to read, and given
the success of my previous Sailor Moon, Dragonball and Tenchi Muyo fic searchs, and given the the huge variety of experience and depth of knowledge of the
subject of fanfiction here (and buffy mentions aplenty), I was hoping for some more suggestions? What in your opinion are the best Buffyverse stories out
there?

There's too damn many to even begin to mention. Give us an area you like to read to start.

I dunno... early seasons stuff? And maybe some Xander cetric ones? And any examples anyone's found of a GOOD self insert?

A good starting point is TTH. tthfanfic.org.
Also, do a websearch on the Xanderzone, wherever it is now.

Self-insert fic is almost unknown in Buffyfandom. Xander's Everyman qualities usually lead to SuperXander fics in their place...

I second the compelled series.
Also there is this little gem :
http://www.echonyc.com/%7Estax/Buffy/nw ... ittle.html
That granted in only tangentially a Buffy fanfic. (It's about a slayer called very far away.)
E: "Did they... did they just endorse the combination of the JSDF and US Army by showing them as two lesbian lolicons moving in together and holding hands and talking about how 'intimate' they were?"
B: "Have you forgotten so soon? They're phasing out Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
