Okay, people, this is the official thread in which to post those "Gee, I wish the author would pick this back up again" comments.  For reference, here's the old Dead Fic Zombification thread, but please don't resurrect that one.  Feel free, however, to copy favorites over from it to this thread.

hmm, *pokes through heap of bookmarks*
Strangely enough, all of these are Naruto related. I read other stuff, it just seems that the fandom (or my bad luck) leads to abandoned works.
Fuinjutsu - Author is alive, no story update for close to 3 years.
Soul Voice - no story or author update for 3+ years.
The Lavender Beast of Konoha - Good fanfic from the guy who brought us I'm Here to Help, sadly no updates or news in close to 3 years.
A Village Hidden In Hope - and unusual Star Wars/Naruto cross that hasn't been touched in more than a year, author is alive.

Epsilon According to her website ( http://www.burgerbecky.com/fanfiction.html ), Rebecca Heineman has plans to continue Fire's Destiny's Child story. No idea when that will actually happen though. She's also done a ton of sequels to Fire's Sailor Ranko, and is currently doing a webcomic adaptation of Fire's original story. ( http://www.sailorranko.com/ )

My vote is for Mark MacKinnon's On a Clear Day You Can See ForeverThis story has such a detailed original setting with familiar characters. (Ranma + Sailor Senshi, with a few cameos from elsewhere)
The city where most of the action takes place could have its own sourcebook.

		Reload, by Case13.
  http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4203131/1/
An excellent looper Naruto fic, featuring Naruto and Sasuke on their nth loop. They were on vacation, and it looked like a very interesting plot was starting to rev up, before updates stopped in September of 2009. Still worth reading from time to time though.
Edit:
I had found this a while ago, but had forgotten about it until just now. The Vanished Fanfiction Archive, located at http://vffa.ficfan.org/ , is a site the tries to archive fanfics that are no longer on the net, or are but are not easily accessible, such as through a google search. Among others, it has a backup of Fire's fanfics in downloadable form.
Edit: Fixed an autocorrect mistake. It had changed one instance of 'fanfics' to 'fabrics'.

Waaaay back in the original Undocumented Features, it was suggested that a circle of WPI students including Kevin Tefft had some kind of magical ability. Sadly, this was never expanded upon, which I think is a crying shame. Not exactly lost or dead, since it was never really started, but it's still something for the wish list.

Ktefft was/is one of very few actually gay Wedge Rats. Very much *not* Coyle and his goons, who were backed by GENOM. Kei and Yuri's precog talent pinged the mystical senses of a couple of his [witch|wiccan|druid|undifferentiated neopagan] circle. He ruined his nails putting on his CVR-3, but his Cyclone had better.
EDIT: I especially wonder about this "Paul", who is apparently DIFFERENT, all-caps obligatory.

It's back, with updates as recently as last month. According to a note on the update page, he was hospitalized for heart failure in 2009; his sites died while he was recuperating, and he's trying Amazon hosting for the new site.

http://archives.eyrie.org/anime/Ah-My-G ... mi-Sensei/ - Urd becomes a high school teacher? Surely doom is upon us all... This was the fic that led me out of the Ranma fandom and into AMS.

Dave Tatum/Desaix's DBZ fic, "A Thousand Years Until Revenge" was also pretty damn good. Fortunately, that one I have an offline archive of, and it was probably on the FFML and/or RAAC and hence in their archives too.

Two more I don't have links for - one is the famous "Saiyajin: A Dragonball Withdrawal Whim" by Katchan, the other was "More Than Meets the Sight," a TFG1 cross with a book series I never read, about a guy from modern earth who becomes some kind wizard and keeps company with a couple of demons/genies from an alternate level of reality called "Perv" but who joke this makes them not "Perverts" but "Pervect."
