Pinkie Pie sees eldritch horrors all the time, like those strange, sparsely furred apes.

It's okay, though, because she's making them smile! If they smile at her parties and having fun, then they can't possibly be bad, can they?

Unfortunately, she made the mistake of reaching through one of the windows she sees from time to time, and she actually touched one.

Now, she's getting running commentary on her life from the new voice in her head, which isn't so bad, really, he seems nice enough for a naked monkey, but he keeps asking for a cheeseburger, whatever that is.

My one and only point of contact with Macross material is Undocumented Features, which leaves me wondering if Equestria resides in an alternate universe, and Gryph or another Wedge Rat stumbled across it in their parachronic wanderings ("Doc" Mui indulged in some crosstime shenanigans, and I think a couple others did too); if it's on an extra-Creation plane like Cephiro (this option is terribly unlikely, given the big deal Cephiro is as the Tenth World, but I can see it working with the double Pillars of Luna and Celestia); or if it's on a relatively ordinary planet and the Sun and Moon don't have to be magically raised. It could be some hybrid of a couple of these ideas: I'm not sure about the other Celestial and Infernal Worlds, but Asgard has outer space just like Midgard. Equestria could be on another planet in Asgardian space, where Midgard's rules of physics don't necessarily apply. (The only World I'm sure doesn't have outer space is Cephiro, which is an explicitly Crystal-Spheres cosmology.)

Well, it's not like UF doesn't account for other worlds completely outside its own cosmology. Though those usually preclude any type of easy travel. That said, in a lot of ways, doesn't Equestria sound a lot like a Cephiro where the pillar decided to do the smart thing and Delegate?

MLP/FMP Reason: Because Pony Psycho in FMP

Also:

The lamb broke the first seal, and a voice said 'Go!'

A White Pony came with a bow, and her Cutie Mark

was a crown, and she went to conquer.

The lamb broke the second seal, and a voice said 'Go!'

A Red Pony came with a Sword for a Cutie Mark, the power

to take peace, and she went to set sister against sister.

The lamb broke the third seal, and a voice said 'Go!'

A Black Pony came, and her Cutie Mark was a Balance,

and she went to drive the price of staples high.

The lamb broke the fourth seal, and a voice said 'Go!'

A Pale Green* Pony came, and her Cutie Mark was Death,

and she went to put some serious hoof to body.

*Or Yellow-Gray. This is intended as a color appropriate for rotting flesh.

Anyhow, this is pretty obvious, even if I can't do the source justice, word things

properly, or get the crossover to make any great sense in a broader context. Revelation

might be the book I've studied the most, but I am not a very good bible scholar. So,

Tyranny, Anarchy, Taxes and Death. I am trying to find a modification to make it

appropriate for both young girls and general audiences, but all I can think about is

Soviets coming through Fulda gap and Breetai dropping enough tonnage of Nickel-Iron on

various portions of the globe.

The Zentraedi verision of MLP has to be _fascinating_.

I still prefer the klingon version, though. My Compact Targ: Honor Is Suffering.

Wiredgeek Wrote:The Zentraedi verision of MLP has to be _fascinating_.

Maybe, maybe not. The Zentraedi don't have the long shared history humans do with animals such as horses, dogs, and pigs. So, they won't know of the utility, and the scale might prevent the semi-compatible body language from working, if the Zentraedi use body language. (I'd guess real ponies are to Zentraedi what toy ponies are to humans size wise) So the pre-peace Zentraedi may just eat horses, swallowing them down. A key test here would be if micron Meltran and Zentraedi like to swallow live toads and/or bugs. Postbellum, I imagine it depends on how the process works. I can see anything 'the same as it is for humans' to 'Farmed on an industrial scale, at the same size, breeding rate, and maturation rate as rats for consumption by Microns'.

Mainly, I was fighting off attempts to crossover by another notion of mine, which is a secular world war (with nukes) on a timeline that I'd just realized seemed to match some interpretations of Revelation. I was also tired and in a rush. The next layer of crossover actually works well if one ditches the eschatological aspects by making the Four Ponies just reacting to thefts of dangerous artifacts from Equestria by acting as mascots to macron Meltran (antebellum) that they recruit as Cures. (So PreCure, Macross, MLP, and in this case the abomination of mine in CTSNB that Necratoid said sounded a bit too awkward to make workable.)

Also, PonyCure (MLP/Precure).

Inquisitive Raven Wrote:And nobody's linked to this yet?

I don't watch the show, and watching it (without the sound) suggests to me a little too much fanon to be very close to scriptural.

There's also the unfortunate implications of using the word "plot" in regards to ponies...

It's used as a euphemism by some bronies for anatomy not specifically shown in a kid's show. *ahem*

WRT Zentreadi and animals, there's at least one scene in Macross F of a Z farmer and his hippo-cow-beast thing. It's the shape of a hippo, but has black and white spots like a cow (which breeding experiments have suggested is a darwinian evolution to have a more striking coat that appeals to keepers, according to a National Geographic article on domesticating foxes from a few months ago) and which he picks up under his arm like a large beach ball at the end of the scene. so ay least by the second generation post-Space War I they're plenty comfortable with the idea of livestock. Likewise, Mylene of Macross 7 (who is, to be fair, only half-Meltran) has her pet hairball Guvava, and the girl in Dynamite 7 has a snake-kitty critter. Basically, I'd say it comes down to whether or not there's any planet-bound Zentraedi to come in contact with animals that are useful or need to be domesticated because they're hostile but vaguely close to cuddly, if only to get raw materials to feed the ancient factories that build their ships and biomass to put in the environmental systems, or if all of that is done by robots and the biological heuristic units of the Inspection Army and Supervision Army only exist within their weapon systems. Really, I think it would have been the latter, but that doesn't mean culture-adopting Zents didn't come up with something crazy like that.

- CD, drew a doodle of the Incredible Hulk holding a puppy (in one fist, with his thumb curled over its head and the hind legs and wagging tail sticking out the bottom) recently that kind of relates to this, but it's far too crap to scan and post

"Plot" used in that, uh, sense is an old 4Chan-ism. It comes from people watching shows with excessive fanservice and then claiming they were watching it for the plot, and "plot" quickly became an ironic synonym for fanservice elements. And then /co/ bronies adopted it.
