My Little Plotpony: Sharing is Fun

#51
Now, Louise summoning an apparently normal human instead of a "normal" magic animal familiar is a major plot point of ZnT, I get that. Still, what if she got a pony (or brony) instead? Big Mac, say. And then, because the various ponies crushing on Big Mac aren't going to let that just stand, Twilight Sparkle (who has, after all demonstrated powerful teleportation magic before) gets recruited to transport a search party/rescue mission to find Big Mac...

...ooh, new bunny even as I was typing that - TS does magic when she sneezes (for a while) and so does Negi Springfield. Obviously there's a deeper meaning behind this connection between the two characters, right?

If you're going to do that, you should at least also bring in Ebenezum, who sneezes when he does magic...

(Also, since when is Aslan a sun god?)

I had one of those jawdroppping moments of realisation just now, WRT the Sailor Moon crossover ideas. At the very end of Sailor Moon, isn't there a golden unicorn who shows up with a golden crystal that's the counterpart of the Ginzuisho? Who Chibi-Usa falls for? Given that and a few hundred thousand years and some magic to clobber bioscience out of the way, Celestia and Luna could actually be Neo-Queen Serenity's grandkids! That could make their multi-part freindship-powered McGuffin artefact a lot more powerful and significant than heretofore realised - wasn't the Ginzuisho split into seven parts or something before they found it in the original series?

ETA: Unrelated: What Cutey Mark signifies being the best at Space? Or is that Derpy's...?

So it was Sailor Satrs, then? I'm not a big SMoonie, so keeping the various seasons straight is a bit on the difficult side for me. Or, oh, okay, duh, you meant the cutie mark thing. I was shooting for a Portal 2 reference, but a moon and stars works well enough too.

Further thought has left me to wonder what pony Senshi would call themselves in English, since ponies and sailing don't go togehter quite so well as girls and sailing. Cutie Calvalry Soldier (planet) maybe?

"The terror of an attack squad of Cutie Cavalry Soldiers coming over the crater rim was indescribable. Shining beacons of light, each and every one of them. Their forms were fluid, they worked in pairs. One would be in the hooved form, another riding, and they would switch back and forth like they were parts of one organism. Some of them could fly, but the ground bound were still capable of the most prodigious leaps. While I have never been the most religious sort, I found myself breathing a prayer to Chaos herself as I hunkered deeper into my foxhole on that foresaken moon."

I love it! So, who is everypony? Twi is a natural fit for Mercury, if a little more assertive. Probably Pinkie or Vanity for Venus, depending on how you characterize them. Rainbow Dash really ought to be Uranus, with the racing connection, so Fluttershy would likely be either Saturn or Neptne depending on how you read her. Mars... I'm going to say Applejack, but she might fit better for Jupiter. I dunno. Ideas?

ETA: On second thought, Vanity is probably best for Mars, by my limited knowledge of ponydom. I've been mainly focusing on my core interest (Transformers, Macross & other mecha anime) for my multimedia feast since getting back online.

Hey Wiredgeek!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tG7f2f8_bEo
How's that for mind blowing/breaking? It's not even making a main character into something she's not! There happens to be four background ponies with hourglass cutie marks, too. Regeneration!

There are ads appearing off to the side, perhaps only to those who are not Yuku Supporters - I know I don't have the dosh to spare right the now to make them vanish so It's within their rights I guess considering how many times a day I refresh the pages to see if there's a new post in the threads I'm following - but as I haven't paid them a thing and am particualarly bad about going back and editing nearely every single post I make, I am fairly sure that's not part of the package. ETA: Most of them ar ein the form of at least semi-sigworthy lines anyway, so I don't mind.

As for the various Dr. Whooves videos floating around, yes, they are amusing, but the Whoniverse is basically a crapsack world barely holding together by the regular application of a sonic screwdriver, and when that fails percussive maintainence. Equestria... really doesn't fit well.

If you haven't read Progress, you are missing out on something wonderful.

(Princess Luna is visiting a baseball game incognito as "Selene" with the Apples)

Quote:“I remember mah first baseball game! The Apple family always comes every year to see the Applanta Mustangs opening game, and mah first time we drove up to watch in our relatives’, the Orange family’s, box seats. That was also the last time since mah pa got in an argument with mah uncle and well, there ain’t no more box seats, I’ll tell you what,” Applejack recited. She grinned over at Luna. “O’ course, it would’ve helped if mah uncle had just agreed that the call was bad…”

“Consargnit rutting rotten applesalsa,” Granny Smith huffed. Applebloom popped up over the back of the seat and smiled at Luna.

“So Miss Selene, you know the Princess, right? Right?” She asked. Luna nodded.

“Yes, yes I do…”

“Do ya think you could put in a good word for me, so I could get my cutie mark faster?” Applebloom asked sweetly. Applejack scowled.

“Now Applebloom! You know that’s not how it works!”

“But Applejack! Princess Celestia could do it, right Miss Selene? Pretty please?” Applebloom begged. Luna coughed.

“Well, um I’ll see what I can do… Urk!”

Applebloom was hugging her with surprising strength. In fact, Luna was having trouble breathing.

“Oh thank you thank you thank you!”

Everything’s… Going… Dark…!

“Applebloom, ah think she’s got the point… Applebloom! APPLEBLOOM!”

Too… Tight…!

“She’s turnin’ blue!”

“How can you tell? Miss Selene? MISS SELENE!”

Is that you Mother…? Tell Celestia to stop taking my toys…

Hmmmmm...

Twilight Sparkle and her companion Spike...

That's two pop-culture vampire references right there! Crossover That Should Not Be, or Crossover That Should Be?
