Admiral Tigerclaw has a new epistolary fic he's using to batter away at writer's block with:http://forums.spacebattle...hp?p=7377079#post7377079
''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat
them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.''

Is there a non-SB link? I'd forgotten they'd started blocking anonymous viewers.
For those who haven't read it:http://www.fimfiction.net/story/546/1/The-Cough/]The Cough , a short, dark piece of flashfiction.

Read it? Good. Now give http://www.fimfiction.net/story/13302/The-Fart]The Fart a read. It's like the above, but sent through the filter of South Park . (NSFW, and gross.) The reader comments are HILARIOUS.

He's said its eventually going to be up on FIMfiction, so just hold on a bit.
Also, this is a bit off topic, but it is about a television show ostensibly for children being awesome, so...

Big Bird vs. The Egyptian afterlife. This was a thing that happened.

		Thanks Foxboy!
Nice. I like it. A good sci-fi twist on Human in Equestria. Actually, it kind of reminds of The Thessalonica Legacy. Not a bad thing.

		It's terrible-- funny, but terrible!
I've read a lot of the conversion bureau stuff. Especially Chatoyance's work... I don't particularly care for some of the points she's chosen, but damn, can she write!

Yeah, CB has this reputation for awfulness which I don't think is really deserved. A lot of the stuff seems needlessly polarizing and/or dark, but that's a different beast entirely. It is important to note that there isn't one CB canon: every author states (or at least should) what other stories theirs are based on, since there are a bunch of incompatible forks.

I've found fimfiction's archive to be somewhat annoying to use, to get an any where usable listing I've got to manually force a filtered view: http://www.fimfiction.net/index.php?vie ... &order=top

I wish they'd discontinue whoever's responsible for their backend website work. I can't stay logged into the damn site on my phone, I keep having to log in every time I change from wifi to cellular or vice versa.
Also, Jorlem dropped a blurb from and a rec to Beating the Heat . I'd read the first couple chapters, but got distracted by something shiny, and I am excited to see it again (I may have been over an hour late for work because I couldn't stop reading). It's saucy, funny, and a delightfully bonkers good time. It is NSFW. It is not safe for children. It is, however, recommended.

Thanks Jorlem!

I'm not a big fan of rock, and I doubt Lyra is either. Ironically, I'd bet that we are both fans of classical music.-----

I posted a version of this song in the last thread, but there's a PMV of it now, so here it is again. Should I also post this into the Game Everybody Loves to Play section? I remember that something had been said about this possibly being some sort of power song, or something to that effect.
