Alicornundrum (Reality Check's Nyx-verse) has reached it's climax and OMG he managed to come up with some epic world building.

		A Friend in Need
My favorite Worm crossover, which is an MLP crossover, hence the posting here.  It has just started updating again at Spacebattles after a few months hiatus and the author indicates there are just a few snippets left in this chapter before it is and ready for posting elsewhere.

I would have put this in CTSNB or Video Madness, but given the content I suppose it needs to be in the pony corral:

Sombra was always muttering the word 'crystals. What if he was just not a morning person, and out of his favorite instant coffee?

I'm fond of "Megan Returns" stories.  My personal favorite, History Repeats , has finished.  My second-favorite and probably the best known example of this type of story, The Elements of Harmony and the Savior of Worlds , has passed through the climax and awaits an epilogue of some sort.

You know that RK_Striker has been writing a sequel in parallel, right?

I know, but I'm hesitant about Conversion Bureau stories, regardless of whether the Bureau is portrayed as good, bad, or gray-area.
In other news, the Dresden Fillies continues with Great Power .  This time the girls are going to visit Dresden.  It actually came out a few weeks back and apparently won't be updating until the author gets through some other projects, but what is there is good.

Hail to the King has updated after a year and it continues to make me laugh like a loon. (No offense Bob)http://www.fimfiction.net/story/122954/ ... oncussions
As it has been a year, here's a recap:  Random human who has never heard of MLP wakes up in Sombra's body shortly after the Crystal Empire episodes.  He has good intentions but poor judgment and every pony else is convinced that Sombra has completely lost his mind.

This may cross the line into self-promotion as I have become the beta-reader for this story, but A Friend in Need (Worm / MLP crossover) has updated with about 10000 words and the conclusion of several events it has been building towards for some time.  Now featuring Princess Luna as "Death Metal Pony".  Spacebattles here , Fimfiction here .

I'mma giving him a pass because he lampshaded his own bias for Technothriller additions to everything he writes.''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat
them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.''

Yes, but it's a jarring moment, if he want's snow in Sydney then why not use Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. Our dangerous wildlife dislikes snow, makes them, docile.

So, season 5 of Pony started yesterday, with a rather chilling two part episode featuring a pony cult, with a song that Daniel Ingram has stated to be inspired by WWII propaganda. So that's a thing. And it was amazing.
In other news, there were three music videos released recently under the Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks name, one of which I have posted down in The Game Everyone Loves To Play, as I think it could be a song that Doug could likely find a use for. Here are all three:

Yeah, was trying to figure out what the 'Equalist' ponies reminded me more of - Communists or Fascists.
 Either way, I think we have a recurring villain...  Fer crying out loud, her 'Special Talent' is the ability to steal cutey marks!  O_O;

Well, there is the obvious Communism reference (via the fallacy that equality means homogeneity. Then there is the literary reference to the 1961 Kurt Vonnegut Jr short story Harrison Bergeron (which itself referenced the aforementioned fallacy to the point of absurdity)Then there are the more recent references to the methods used by religious cults to indoctrinate converts.
Of course, there is the question of just what exactly was Starlight Glimmer's game. What did she get out of this?
She wasn't going to conquer the world: her only defense was obscurity and her "troops" were so mediocre by design that even the usually useless royal guard would have walked all over them. She wasn't living the high life on the backs of her exploited minions like some dictators/cult leaders: we saw her living in the same squalor as everyone else (the only visible privilege was a cottage out of row), and It would be hard to get better food than those inedible muffins without giving up the game. The only thing left is a petty feeling of power and superiority over this little group of ponies, which is the most she could handle. That would fit the profile of a cult leader, although usually they use that power to get more benefits form the group. Now I am left wondering if the part about "all new members sleep in her house" was deliberately put there to reference the more unsavory predations of most cults' leadership...

		Ahhhhhhhh, Iiiiiiiiiiieeee don'tthinkthat'squiteit.
Really, I think she may have some sort of ax to grind against Celestia.

Ladies and Gentlemen... I think we have found yet another former protege of Celestia's... and just like a certain other pony, she's got a chip on her shoulder.
