Hephaestus, Greek god of a lot of things (which boil down to Fire and Manufacturing), naturally shortens down to "Heph".
Hugh Hefner, creator of Playboy magazine, is often referred to as "Hef".
What if they switched places?  Even worse, what if they were the same person all along?

What, So Hephaestus is annoyed that Aphrodite won't return his affections and decides to make some girls to lure her back? Well that or be being an enabler for dear old dad.

(And why is this in should not be? I wold totally read this. It sounds like something I expect to find in the next Percy Jackson book )

From the "lost one letter" department:

Fae/Stay Night. Shakespeare's followup to "12th night."

so now, I'm imagining various characters from the Fate universe carrying out a Holy Grail War while shoehorned into the romantic comedy positions of the characters from 12th night, with servants drawn from the faeries of Midsummer Night's Dream (so...many...Casters...)

I've always found it a bit disturbing seeing an avalanche of orange-clad hyperactive ninja go swarming over a target like army ants invading a picnic.
I now found it DOWNRIGHT FSCKING TERRIFYING that each and every shadow clone was brandishing a Noble Phantasm (albeit low-ranked).
The only conclusion possible was that my plan to introduce Naruto and Shirou to each other had succeeded beyond my wildest dreams and/or nightmares.

Hmmm... Certain fan versions of Naruto are just about warped enough for a Reality Marble (particularly those that spend a fair bit of time going into the psychological implications of his massive overuse of Kage Bunshin). "My body is made of Clones."

Actually, if you really wanted to warp things a bit, you could get some mileage out of the idea of Reality Marbles and the fact that all of the really powerful ninja are crazy in some way.

...and then I'm imagining how much the Mage's Association would flip out to discover a previously unknown section of the world, filled with people who considered "deploy Reality Marble" to just be the thing you did at the start of every fight. Mind you I don't know what that would be a crossover with - Yu-gi-oh, maybe?

I've pointed it out before, but - Rock Lee. His body is hard as steel, and his blood hot as fire. A primary reason still driving me to put a line or two down on Legend of Explosive Youth! now and then is the prospect of Lee getting Tsukiomi'ed circa age 16 or so, staggering and shaking his head clear, then showing non-retconned-into-a-good-guy-due-to-opinion-polls Itachi how it's REALLY done.

It doesn't really belong in *this* thread, but...
The power ring of the Green Lanters was powered by will power.  It was limited only by fear.

The story is about Alfred Bester from Babylon 5 but when I saw the description I thought it would be Alfred Pennyworth from Batman.

It could be worse - Xander could have dressed as Alfred E. Newman...

Hmmm....

Louise Valliere summons Lelouch Vi Brittania -- the Zero summons Zero. Hilarity ensues.
(Actually, I could see Lelouch kind of taking a shine to Louise over time -- the guy's got a soft spot for little-sister types).

Lelouch gets summoned in one of the Grail Wars. Suddenly, we have someone who can out-scheme Gilgamesh *and* Kotomine at the same time while running a knight and rook handicap. Also, Knightmare Frames as Noble Phantasms. Whee!

Shirou summons Vash the Stampede at the start of the 5th War. Given that this is a guy who once punched a hole in the moon before he achieved Legendary status....

Of course, if we want a Servant with planet-busting powers that can sneer at Ea, let's go all out and summon Son Goku. Maybe from the Frieza arc, we don't want him to be too ridiculously overpowered (he said innocently). Actually, I'm a bit surprised no one has done this yet.
