Crossovers That Should Not Be 18: You'll have SO MANY CROSSOVERS! 400 CROSSOVERS!

That last line, at least, sounds very much Freakazoid.

Who might be able to actually take on Darkseid in the right context, if only because he operates more by Rule of Funny than by actual (or even cartoon, much less superhero) physics.

They fight to the death.

... I'd rather watch them MSTing something. Inception Meets Matrix: Revolutions, maybe. Or Iron Sky Captain in the World of Tomorrow, for something a little more campy and less horrible.

I know it's not the crossover you meant for this, but now I'm imagining a pair of red-head werewolf girls running around Westeros.

So it turns out that for all of what Xander says about Giles, Britishness, and tweed, he has a not-terribly-distantly-connected and not remotely tweedy British relative of his own - an uncle once removed, or some such thing, named Colin.

Or as a wrestling fan might know him, "Bomber".

Thinking about shakey-cam movies, the following occurred to me:

The Cloverfield Witch Project -- in 1994, three Montgomery College students visit Burkittsville, MD and enter the woods out of town to investigate local legends about a giant monster that lives therein... they disappeared. Nine months later, video of their experience was found...
Edit:  Better name I should have thought of at the start.

Reading the third Zero's Familiar manga omnibus gave me an "alternate familiar" plotbunny involving a character I RP as on Dreamwidth, and I'm pretty sure said bunny falls into this category by any objective measure -- because the pup in question is Néo from the Japanese porno ????? (Futanari Village, links profoundly NSFW).

Hm... Given Tristain is basically High Fantasy Belgium, I'd say Néo is going to need to rethink that nudist thing, even without social pressure. Then again, Japan gets plenty cold too, in the more northerly regions, so I suppose it would depend what shi's used to. Still, it's rather difficult to believe shi'd be able to go more than a few minutes before being bundled up in a loaner cloak at the minimum; not even Kirche puts the goods on casual display. And that's as far as my mind goes before hitting the NOPE! barrier and going into and unrecoverable stall due to compressibility issues. That's how you know it belongs here, I suppose.

...you know, most of these crossovers get here because of odd or bad cross synergy.  It's really Crossovers That Make Us Go 'What?'
This one, oddly enough, makes more and more sense as I think on it.  ZnT's already a harem comedy- why not take it one step further?  Sure, the new familiar has no powers, but neither did the canon one (whose name I barely remember). Also, I can't help but imagine the protagonist just going 'screw this- I'm outta here!', hiking off to Germania, and picking up where they left off pre-summoning with the locals there.

I assume that the village (which I call Hataka for reasons I'll elucidate if anyone asks) is in the Seto Naikai, somewhere near Takarazuka, where the climate allows people to be naked if they're of a mind to. (Truth to tell, I put it near Takarazuka first and then found out that the climate fits.) But yeah, they would put clothes on Néo whether shi wanted them or not -- then again, after experiencing Tristain's climate, shi'd probably at least tolerate them.

Not sure if the romance element is going to be there, nor am I automatically ruling it out -- Néo is such an out-of-context phenomenon for Louise that shi may become interested in her before she develops any feelings for hir. Also, shi's more likely to draw the attention of the men than the women -- which will be awkward for hir, given that shi didn't previously encounter a lot of men in hir daily life (mostly on TV and on trips into TZ).

If shi ever does blow off Louise, shi'll probably head for the part of Germania that corresponds to Sweden, because it's my head-canon that Pippi's father is from there (specifically from the Swedish herm village, Schakopål). How much shi'd be able to "pick up where they [sic] left off" is open to debate, of course.

From the Weird Visual Cross-References Department....
"Kurosaki."
Ichigo pulled the phone away from his ear and stared at it, frankly dumbfounded.  "Byakuya?"  He thumbed the Speakerphone button.  "How are-- how did--?"
"You have knowledge of the Living World which I require," that stolid voice continued without even bothering to grandly ignore Ichigo's interjection.
Well, at least he's still acting like himself.  "Ah... okay, sure."
"What is an 'Itano Circus,' and why am I being threatened with legal action for 'copyright infringement' over it?"

Okay, so, yeah... I was thinking about Byakuya and Ichigo's first Bankai-vs-Bankai match on Sogyoku Hill, and it hit me -- I've seen this before.  The overwhelming beam/missile/projectile spam attack, going after a target with unprecedented speed/dodge/point-defense abilities.  I mean, consider the visuals in that fight as Ichigo stays one step ahead of the Sakura Petals of Death, then consider your favorite Gundam/Macross series....

Sadly, this is a crossover that already is: Warm Bodies (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1588173/). Oddly enough, when Hollywood crosses Romeo & Juliet (a tragedy) with the zombie genre (usually horror), they somehow get a happy ending rom-com.

I wasn't sure whether to post this one here or in the CTSB thread, so I thought that I'd post it here just in case:

Pacific Rim/The Pacific.

Just for a little more genre clash, why not add South Pacific to that as well? 1958 or 2001 version, whichever.
