You know, the Ministry of Magic would show a marked improvement in efficiency, and be more moral if Sir Humphrey Appleby took it in hand.

Quite so. Of course, it would only be right and proper if Baron Hacker were Minister of Magic (under Sir Humphrey's direction, of course), but his presence is hardly necessary. Window dressing, if you will. Needless to say, whoever would be Minister, Sir Humphrey would direct them with the most able and subtle of means, as well as dispensing of certain, shall we say, less-than-able members of the Ministry. Not so much out-and-out dismissal, but certainly allowing them to sink (or rise) to an appropriate level. Undersecretary Umbridge, for example, would be perfect for a post in one of the Ministry's more... remote embassies. Borneo, perhaps, or maybe Milton-Keynes.

I want to introduce Rushina Tendo, to Vash the Stampede, in a bar. ...

I just don't want to be blamed for ending a world, or three.

I dunno, Rushina and Vash would probably get along pretty well.

The people chasing after them? Not so sure about that.

It would be like the Dirty Pair, all over again.

I still get giggles over the scene in "Dance of Shiva" where Washuu introduces Kei&Yuri to Mihoshi&Kiyone (labelled as "the Dirty Pair" and "The Unlucky Pair," IIRC), and the sheer concentration of Strange Luck starts to tear a hole in the fabric of spacetime....

We've secretly replaced Bernie Sanders with Col. Harlan Sanders.  Let's see how things play out after that...

Here at The Folgers Crystals Fanfiction Labs, we are replacing Jet Alone for Giant Robo, and giving Shinji a younger roommate with a very interesting watch.

We are replacing Jet Jaguar with Gipsy Danger. Poor poor Megalon...

We've swapped Danny Zuko from Grease and Prince Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Let's see who freaks out first.

It would be nice to have a major politician who isn't under a cloud, for a change.

"To the Stars" and "The X-files"
So, Mulder. You say you've found a connection between certain teenage runaways, a Japanese megacorp with opaque ownership, a reduced rate of mass suicides and the occasional glimpse of fast moving streaks of bright light?
Seriously, conspiracy theorists in "to the stars" must end up going nuts.

"If I'm wrong, then nothing happens! We go to jail; peacefully, quietly. We'll enjoy it! But if I'm right, and we can stop this thing... Harry, you will have saved the lives of millions of registered voters."
Harry Dresden gave me a flat look that didn't completely hide the way hips lips wanted to pull upwards at the corners. "You know I'm not the Mayor of NYC, right? Or Chicago?" The grin started to slip loose. "Because if you were, I'd have to tell these Wardens 'get him outta here.'"
For a long-naturalized Chicagoan, Harry does a surprisingly good New Yawk accent....

Problem is, the quotage kinda breaks the crossover. But imagine if GhostBusters II had been a Harry Dresden crossover (Darkhallow 2.0 in the Big Apple, anyone?) rather than the... dreck... we got (although I will always treasure the entire Statue of Liberty bit, because damn).

Murphy (flat voice): "What, the T-Rex wasn't big enough for you, Harry? Are you compensating for something?"
Dresden: "Okay, two things: first, you know what I'm not compensating for, and second, I'm using the most appropriate local landmarks! See, I've got plans if we ever have to do this in Rio..."
Edit:
Aaaand, because I'm suffering from shift change-induced sleep deprivation, and apparently on a Dresden kick today:
"Maybe she's born with it?"
"Maybe it's Mab-elline."

We've just mind-swapped (not brain-swapped) Ami Mizuno and Amy Dallon. Because Amy really needs a vacation from Shards screwing with her psyche, and if anyone can intellectually master the downsides of the Corona Pollentia, it's Ami. Also, giving Ami actual healing powers would be almost too perfect.

It's just a slight mispelling on the birth certificate, really.

Danny said what they wanted to call her, the doctor wrote 'Taylor' Hebert.

She was actually supposed to be named for her great-uncle.
