Be careful what you say in a blog, even if it does appear to be true... On the other hand, taking responsibility for an employee's actions along with one's own is a refreshing change from what we see on this side of the Pacific.

Too bad we live in a world where people must resign for saying the blatently obvious in their blogs, and yet bitchslapping users on 2chan is probably still illegal.

From what I understand, Akai has stepped down from the board of directors, but hasn't actually LEFT Gainax.

If 2chan is anything like even the more rational discussions I've seen on 4chan, I think Akai probably summarized the effect of taking it seriously quite accurately...
I'm not sure this really merits resigning from anything anyway.
