Wicked Senshi, and other artworks
Wicked Senshi, and other artworks
#1
Not too terribly long ago, someone posted in one of the fora some links to some *very* tasty fanart of "wicked" versions of some of the Sailor
Senshi.

Well, there's more. While noodling about the internet, I found this:

Art of Alan Gutierrez

Only two of the "wicked Senshi" pictures are there, but there are also a *lot* of other anime characters, and some that appear to be
similarily-styled original creations. These are available as framed prints. The Saturn one on the second catalog page tempts me mightily....

That "steampunk" one on the second page looks familiar, too...

Although, if I was going to buy any of them, I'd get the Deedlit one down near the bottom of the second page. (The only reason I'm not is because I
have no room left on my walls.)

Check out his website at http://alangutierrez.com/

An artist friend of mine pointed out, that he paints children a bit creepy with adult faces on children's bodies.

I knew something was off about the kids, I just couldn't place it.

Huh. Maybe I should look into commissioning him to do some DW artwork... Gotta check his rates, though.

His Sailor Life and Neptune Family portraits give me ideas for Fenspace TNG. Be kinda cool to write about the Captain of the Tough Love and how she found love and raised a family on a terraformed world (I'm thinking Titan, just for fun and because it's Eyrie inspired).  More on this later on in the Fenspace forum though.  Don't wanna get too far off topic here.
