Hmm, my thoughts:

- Having an Amazon Prime account, I'll probably grab this preorder. Free 3 day shipping FTW.

- Interesting that they romanized season 2 as Nanoha A, when the "A's" subtitle is meant to be pronounced phonetically as "Ace"(which,
for no apparent reason, is what the Japanese wanted it to imply anyway. Why not name it Nanoha Ace anyway?)

- Finally, looking at the cover art for S2.....wow, they are not even being remotely subtle at this point, are they? The anti-shoujo-ai fanbase is going to
have a fit.

Yeah. Essentially, people who preferred a Yuuno/Nanoha pairing and feel the directors caved into the more vocal "lesbians, yay!" fanbase and ignored
the "intended" pairing for that of Fate and Nanoha. And feel similarly about Subaru and Tea(which is a liiiittle more arguable than Fate/Nanoha, but
still rather hard to grasp...no pun on Subaru's alarm clock setting intended).

Yeah, anti-shoujo-ai is a bit hard to believe for this series. Fate/Nanoha has got to be one of the most... well, the best word I can think of is obvious... pairings in anything I've ever seen. (I usually describe it as "postively dripping in subtext".) Though I also like Nanoha/Yuuno. And Fate/Nanoha/Yuuno. And Arf/Fate. And... well, pretty much everything else really. (Actually, this is my only real problem with Fate/Nanoha. Hardly anyone seems to want to write about the other characters it seems...)

Depending on what you use to watch dvds, there's fairly easy ways to get around that...

Got my copy today. Box is a nice hard box (I've seen harder boxes, but its not a flimsy cardboard) and the DVDs have nice artwork (including reversible
covers). I haven't loaded it into a player yet, I'll do that at work tonight

Well that depends BA. When I was deployed CGN-41 was part of the Enterprise carrier group. so none of this shlepping mail via the MSC ships, it came via the
CoD's to the big E then was choppered out. of course, that depended on us BEING in cod range of a base...

Well. Late Saturday night, as a break from watching the second season of KaleidoStar (I so want to send Doug there to slap both May and Leon silly...), I talked Peggy into watching the first episode of Nanoha.

Suffice it to say that by 4 the next afternoon, we'd watched the entire first season, in basically two marathon sittings separated by 8 hours of sleep. Yesterday morning, Peggy woke up, showered, got dressed, and turned on the next episode.

I think she liked it.
