Custom Mario levels set to anime music
|
*jaw drops* I shudder to think at how much time that must have taken.
I'm kinda interested as to what tools they were using...
"No can brain today. Want cheezeburger." From NGE: Nobody Dies, by Gregg Landsman http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5579457/1/NGE_Nobody_Dies
Hm. I managed to place only two of those - the ending theme from Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu and what I think of as the Song Of Utter Heresy And Horror. Still,
very awesome. =========== =============================================== "V, did you do something foolish?" "Yes, and it was glorious."
There's the actual Super Mario Bros. theme in there as well.
I'm with Hoagie -- the level of micromanagement in both level design and Mario-steering needed to synchronize every single sound effect with the music seems incredible. I'm not sure whether Mario was being botted, or if someone was just holding ->, or what... And just what is the "Song of Utter Heresy and Horror?" --Sam "Elf finger magic. I hate that."
It's a hands-free Mario level, designed with a very clever network of special blocks, switches etc. so that the player doesn't have to do a single
thing beyond hitting Start to set off the level. Mr. Fnord interdimensional man of mystery FenWiki - Your One-Stop Shop for Fenspace Information "I. Drink. Your. NERDRAGE!"
I would have been more impressed if it was possible to tell the songs solely based on the in game sound effects. Running the original song in the background
always seems to be a cheat. -------------------- Epsilon Quote: Valles wrote: A quick youtube search reveals the playlist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLU48mtDshw ---------------------- Epsilon
And to close the circle, here's a version of the Mario vid with the playlist incorporated.
--Sam "And next time, may it bloom in the good way."
Now we need someone to do a John Williams tribute like this.
''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.'' -- James Nicoll
Wow. That is both weird and oddly beautiful -- great harmonies.

QUICK! Name the movie themes featured.
