look at an in-progress one. So I go over to the forums, find an interesting thread, and....

Bam, can't view this page w/out registering.

Something Awful started charging a one-time fee for access to their forums eight years ago.

Since it has 120,000 subscribers, it obviously wasn't too bad a plan.
