I actually teared up a little when I read that. You're one of my favorite Internet People, and it is SO GOOD to see you triumphing!
Congratulations, and best of luck!

Congratulations. Now, it's my turn. No, I haven't gotten fired (yet); I just have hostile management to deal with. (It doesn't get much more hostile than getting chewed out for doing your job when a Vice Chairman can't be bothered to check his voicemail, unless they're physically attacking you and calling you names.) Plus, I'd actually like to be somewhere in the general vicinity of my girlfriend (I'm in Dallas; she's in College Station - check the map for the definition of "long distance relationship").
*looks back up at what he's typed* I did not intend to make that about me. Congratulations on finding employment, Bob. Good luck with it.

Congratulations ! I'm happy that you won't have to dip into savings for survival.Correct me if I'm making a mistake, but the job you got isn't the one with horrible telecommuting, is it ? (That one was on Thursday, or am I wrong ?)

The squee fairy just arrived over here and sprinkled copious amounts of squee-fairy dust from her surprisingly ample backside.  No.  No attempts at flying were made.  Happy thoughts and squee-fairy dust can only take you so far.

Thank you everyone. No, this isn't the job with the horrible commute -- I left that interview with the interviewer and I mutually agreeing it wouldn't work, actually. No, this is the one that I said "I'm holding my breath" about.
Let me just add -- one interview and I got it. Not even a second round. I'm feeling very good about this.

 Congratulations, Bob!

Counting applications made after the interview, 1628. Interviews? I've lost count. Maybe 30 or 40, counting phone screenings? Quote:I hope Peggy is happy with the results, as well...
She is, although once we work out the commutation issues, that might change.

That's awesome to hear about, Bob! It's a load off my mind that you guys will still be able to make the payments on time.
Well, as soon as we get back to San Antonio, I'm gonna have to start dropping apps myself. Wish me luck.
