Various "Abridged Series" stuff is very popular. Essentially take an anime, cut out about 75% of the actual footage and overdub the original dialogue with pop culture references and in jokes. Many of them are horrible, but a few of them are fantastic. I suggest Little Kuriboh (the guy who started it all) and his Yu-Gi-Oh pastiches. Team Four Stars Dragonball Abriged is also very entertaining.
