vomiting in a spacesuit is not dangerous due to reduced visibility. It's dangerous because in zero-g, it's really easy to aspirate (breath in) said vomit. and then you can drown. eeew and bad.

also it tends to be a bad idea if you try to open the helmet to clean it while in use

I presume that's a ghillie suit in the first pic, and not a bad attempt at being Chewbacca.
Oh, and a followup on my last post... It actually wasn't raining when I drove by where the stretch cab had been... but the cab was gone.

That reminds me of something I once overheard a friend say. He was working the information/registration table at a game convention we were part of the staff for. I didn't hear the question, but I'll never forget the answer, which ended with, "They're in full camo -- you can't miss them!"

File this one under Bad Coincidences. In case you don't get it, just look at the page as though that ad were actually part of the article.

The speculators on Wall street driving up the price of a barrel of oil by taking consistently long positions without bothering to go short?
What is it, $5 a gallon in the States now, of which 46c goes to ye're government and 7c goes to the garage. Where's the other 4:50 go?

(And it's just above $5 a gallon in Canada - about $1.25 per litre, depending on where you are and which fuel station you patronize. It's cheaper in the States.)

It's been dropping in NJ for the last couple days; the "expensive" station near us is listing $3.79 this morning.

It's between 1:40 and 1:50 a Litre here. Of which over half (85c) goes to the government in the form of Fuel Duty, then VAT on top of the Fuel duty and the raw price of the fuel. Our petrol stations pay about 60c a Litre for their petrol, maybe a little less. There was a good article I read on it, but I can't seem to find it right now.
