Pity it's a generic battery, or I could add "DURACELL! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE!?" as a tagline. Oh, wait...

This level of geekery on the part of the creators of MLP:FIM just proves to me that I really need to see this series

I was wondering why that last scene felt weird/jarring compared to the rest of the episode.
 And now I know why.

Base, you're down under, right? IF you have your local version of Cartoon Network, MLPFIM begins airing on Halloween.''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat
them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.''

Huh... Don't ask what led to it, but I happened to play that while Defying Gravity (the song from Wicked, not the TV show) was running and monopolizing the audio, and it worked surprisingly well. I'm not sure exactly how the time counts were aligned, and because my father WILL NOT STOP NATTERING at me about whatever idiot thing NPR is going on about now I've now forgotten exactly how the key points I noticed as it was happening worked, but I remember that the transition to the "together we're unlimited" bits happened just as the dream demon thingy appears, and "on the verge of ultimate power" was just as Daffy arrived at the lion shaped mountain.
 - CD, usually don't mind how Dad goes on about things but dammit, sometimes I'm trying to concentrate

ETA: Played Defying Gravity again, and remembered a couple of the specific points, then fiddled with it in Blender's video editing window - if you pause Defying gravity (the version from the MLP vid I posted to The Game a couple days ago) right at teh beat between "You can have all you ever wanted" and "I know, but I don't want it," start the Daffy Duck cartoon (on mute), and immediately unpause the song so "Merry Melodies" finishes fading in on "know," you'll get the AMV experiece I stumbled onto. It's not perfect, but it works surprisingly well for a random encouner.

ETA Nsquared: That's not quite right either, blast it. The point I best remember is Bigs appearing just at the "don't live to regret it" line, but trying to offset from that is working rather poorly. Maybe there was a glitch in one of them for a second or two and I glossed over it?
