So, if you see an odd  placement of box's in the stock room, check to see if a lazy worker is in them napping. Tongue

So, I got shown an article about how people in Second Life create Avatars that do (or don't) mimic their appearance, using this photo as an example:

Those of you that play City of Heroes will notice someone Did Not Do The Research.
(Bonus points if you can name the locations where they took the shot!)

I've never played an MMO, but I've seen enough screen captures (mostly on these boards) to recognise those as CoX characters/environments. 8P

That can't be good for the chainsaw tracktor. What is it used for anyway? (presumably not cutting up cars, though I can see the appeal when driving through rush hour traffic)

I believe they call that sort of arrangement a "ditch witch", and use it for making places to install pipes and cables in the ground. Some can chew through asphalt, smaller ones are only for soil/gravel.

I'm more impressed by the effort put into staging the spiderman pic, myself.

ETA: Ditch-Witch is an actual brand name. Yay Google! Anyway, think of it as an "entrenching power tool."

It's a power tool for cutting fiber optic, copper, and gas lines in half. Also occasionally electric lines, which is always entertaining.

Yeah. You've seen one sentai tranformation scene, you've seen them all. (Unless you happen to find yourself in a grimdark deconstruction anime. Then all bets are off, and you shouldn't watch the transformation sequence on a full stomach.)

Indeed, Eb.

Take, for example, Kampfer. It -appears-, as far as we the viewers can see, to go for minimalist transformations -- flash of light, done.

Then you notice that the magical-animal-mascots are plushies of disemboweled cute little animals...

The daisy-chained surge protectors should be your first clue. (And I know jack and $#!+ about servers.)

in decreasing order of horribleness:

1) servers acting as load bearing supports for the servers above them

2) servers (in fact the same ones as in #1) without their tops, and what appears to be cables plugged into their internals (we have external ports for a reason people)

3) power cords under physical load

4) horrible cable management

and someone please tell me that the front most power strip (that got really washed out by the flash), has it's lead running into the floor. And that it's plug hasn't been cut off and wires jury rigged into something else?

0) Servers running off line current instead of the rack's power supply. (If I see anything like that in tomorrow's safety inspection, I'll be filing a report to the appropriate group's superior...)

Server Rack
Not to mention the head-of-knuckle photobombing in the small visible space on the right side of the rack;  staring at the audience with effronty equivalent to the fictional Bartholomew Bandy as if suddenly expecting a burst of lavish praise for his server management skills.
