http://www.quantumvibe.com/strip?page=178 Quantum Vibe is the kind of science fiction story I associate with the giants, like Clarke and Asimov, or the dude who's name I forget that did the Trigger and Telzey Amberdon stories. (more on the latter end than the best of Clarke and Asimov, but the day my writing gets compared to the low end of theirs, I'ma do a little dance.) Also, the art is super. The linked page is a pretty good capsule summary without being spoilery.
http://krakowstudios.com/...tte/2010/02/09/20100209/ Spinnerette is a genre-savvy superheroes piece, simultaneously explicitly poking fun at and making use of the Spiderman & Spiderman 2099 origin stories to give a self described "shy nerd-girl" six arms and spider powers (which do not include a spider-sense no matter what she thinks) and then handles the resulting hijinx in a semi-realistic way. (Though I do question the realism of certain of the Naga the White Serpent expy's attributes...) Art is pro-comics level, Marvel Manga style.

if we are doing the web comic recommendations, I have to chime in with a two that people may not have heard of:A Miracle of Science a webcomic (that is finished, omg!) about memes, mad science, and planetary group-minds.
Misfile street racing, stoner angels, and questions of self identity (only it's totally better than I made it sound).

If you're looking for a different sort of webcomic (and it is a webcomic, not a photoblog!) then might I reccomend http://survivingtheworld.net/]Surviving the World ? I never thought I would laugh that much to a guy in front of a chalkboard, but hey!

For those of you that are FIM fans or like The DM of the Rings or Darths and Droids, there's http://friendshipisdragons.thecomicseries.com/]Friendship is Dragons , a screencap comic that's just starting out and retelling (so far) the first two episodes of FiM from the perspective of a group of gamers playing the main six.

http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php is a steam punk adventure that I quite enjoy, and http://xkcd.com is in a way similar to surviving the world, but from a geek perspective

Well, if we're listing what we read... (calls up Bookmarks menu)
Every Day:
Weekdays Only:
Monday-Wednesday-Friday:
Others:
Strips I'm still working my way through the archives, so aren't yet on my regular reading list:
I'll admit that I'm still reading Sluggy Freelance and Namir Deiter from sheer inertia... but I haven't dropped them, and life's too short to read crap fiction.

sinfest - another not as good as it used to be.
Schlock Mercenary
ps238
Magellan - another superhero school one.
Goblins - someone get the author some valium - stat.
Freefall - for sometthing so regural, you'd expect thge plot to go a bit faster
Exiern
Erfworld - in case you've been hiding under a rock
Endstone
Crimson Dark - Poser in space.
Comtemplating Reiko
Blade Bunny - A Ninja of very little brain

Most of the ones I still check regularly have already been said, but here's two more:Captain SNES - Yes, its a sprite comic, but don't be stopped by that.  It's a fan sequel to the old Captain N show, and it's quite good, in my opinion.  It's just resumed a fairly regular update schedule after a long hiatus.
Fans! - An old comic that resumed about a year or so ago, it tells the story of the adventures and growth of a college science fiction club in a surprisingly paranormal world.  It originally started back in 1999, so be ready for a big archive.

		*uses Necromancy*
two comics that I have been enjoying of late
http://www.pholph.com  NSFW, but a very nice telling of Heaven, Hell (mainly hell) and the after life, with out being preachy.
http://www.evil-comic.com/  A fun little comic set in a super hero world, revolving around Evil Inc, a super villain customer support/everything else company.

Goblins - Much like Order of the Stick, it starts with humor based on D&D 3rd edition, but it looks at it from the point of view of the eternally doomed goblin race. When the survivors of a tribal massacre only survive by taking character class levels (something that makes them Adventurers, the anathema of all monsters), it opens all sorts of trouble. Dark humor, and quite a bit of angst, but a good story so far.
