What's wrong with H/Hr fics? Or have we just reached the point in HP fandom where any of the mainline ships (H/G H/Hr) is immediately derided, and the only 'favored' fics are those with the less usual pairings?
And if so, are there any of those that haven't been explored ad nauseum?

As long as a pairing doesn't seem totally senseless, I don't really care. And even then I might be able to live with it if the story was as fun as this one. (Plus there's things like the lack of actual romance in the story so far. '.' ) -Morgan, is really looking forward to this Harry meeting *Luna*...

Honestly? I've gotten to the point where I dislike any ship 'cause it's an excuse for terrible romantic writing. H/Hr is particularly bad, especially when you've got a smart-Harry character; now they're the OMG-Only-People-Who-Really-Understand-Each-Other-OMG and bad flowery romance blooms. When an interesting concept gets sacrificed for the sake of Twu Wuv[tm], up we go onto the Rocks of Fail.

Hmmm. Well, I'm not honestly sure I'd actually care (having not read any stories where that happens), but I think I'm with the author on this one: How about waiting until the Fail actually happens to complain about the Fail?

And I've seen both Harry/Fawkes (done for humor) and Harry/Dudley (done seriously and made to seem plausible within its context).
