Bring Back MST3K!
Okay, folks - are we pooling our money, snagging one of those $6500 backer slots, and getting $INSERT_NAME_HERE and the bots to mention the Drunkard's Walk in an episode? Or are we settling for a $752 backer slot and sending Bob and Peggy to the NYC premiere? -- Rob Kelk "Governments have no right to question the loyalty of those who oppose them. Adversaries remain citizens of the same state, common subjects of the same sovereign, servants of the same law." - Michael Ignatieff, addressing Stanford University in 2012
Well! Peggy says she feels a little funny/uncomfortable about going to a show on everyone else's dime -- even though we've been to Starship Titanic live -- and suggests that if we do this thing we try to go for the big pot.
Me, I'm not proud. I'll go to a show on someone else's dime. But she's got a point. If we do it together, we should get group recognition. However, I should point out that NYC is an easy day trip for us -- hell, it takes me longer to drive to work than it would take to get to NYC -- so travel and accommodations are no big deal. In any case, if we do this, we need a way of securely collecting pledges... maybe set up a special PayPal account just for it. And if we're doing this, we need to start with a first pledge. So I'm going to offer a minimum of $200 right up front. Oh, and we need to decide who gets the T-shirt and other swag. I am most certainly not going to go all Daffy Duck and "Mine! Mine! MINE!" no matter how much fun it might be. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak.

Hadn't thought to mention this previously, But there a kickstarter to convert Palladium Books' Rifts setting to Savage Worlds (yes, both companies are fully involved)http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/54 ... age-worldsAbout a week left to go, WAY past the initial goal, and they've met quite a few stretch goals.
Something for those that feel "Rifts could be great if it wasn't stuck with the Palladium system". 8P ___________________________ "I've always wanted to be somebody, but I should have been more specific." - George Carlin

Here's a rather interesting-looking mouse. The team who're making it have done successful projects, they've made the mouse, and they have working firmware for it; they're just refining the software and moving towards mass production.
I like the tilt sensitivity and the pressure-sensitive buttons, but the idea of a mouse that can replicate a six-axis controller is also rather cool. The Z Mouse My Unitarian Jihad Name is: Brother Atom Bomb of Courteous Debate. Get yours. I've been writing a bit.
