But the good news...CVN 80 will carry the name forward. Thank you! Instead of naming our capital ships after dead politicians, we are returning to more traditional and appropriate names.
So the new ship is not going to be called Enterprise-H then right?

That article was actually published back in 2007, long before CVN-79 was announced to be christened John F. Kennedy (in 2011) and CVN-80 to be christened Enterprise (on Saturday).
