Sad, but at the same time, I am genuinely impressed and more than a little surprized that he made it to seventy.
I have one of the iconic performance by him on this dvd (which I picked up for three bucks) - if you can find a cheap copy it is a pretty boss collection of early performances by some greats, and a nice time capsule of the time that music emerged.  Worth it for the performance of Fire by Crazy World of Arthur Brown.
