The first actor to play Worf's son Alexander died on 5 January ... at 33. WTF, God?

Edgar Ray Killen, a Ku Klux Klan organizer who planned and directed the murders of three civil rights activists participating in the Freedom Summer of 1964, died in prison on January 11.
He was found guilty of three counts of manslaughter in June 21, 2005, forty-one years after the crime had happened. I'd consider that a borderline case in terms of "cursed" status. I mean, yes, any man's death diminishes me, but I for one find I can bear this particular diminution with enormous fortitude. Like what happened to Mr. Manson last year.

i'm sorry, but i have to say this. Occasionally someone brightens this world simply by leaving it, and while it is not our place to label such individuals ourselves, there are simply some we can rejoice in their passing on to their final justice.

“We can never undo what we have done. We can never go back in time. We write history with our decisions and our actions. But we also write history with our responses to those actions. We can leave the pain and the damage in our wake, unattended, or we can do the work of acknowledging and fixing, to whatever extent possible, the harm that we have caused.”
