Not sure if this is a should be or a should not be, but what if we replaced Jadeite from Sailor Moon, with Black Adder, from any season, just to see how long we run with it.

Out of the entire Blackadder franchise, I've ony seen half an episode of Blackadder Goes Forth - and I still know this is a Should Be.

Will Nephrite's replacement have a cunning plan?

And now I want Doug to use a Blackadder nickname for at least one of the later Generals...

No, no, I think this was the right place. The chaos would be glorious from a safe distance, such as in prose format and being read from our side of the screen.

Cranston Snord nodded along as he listened to the Lyran General go over the new contract. (What was the man's name, again?) Everything seemed to be alright so far, mostly the same as the one that this was to renew. Their compensation was being increased, which was a good thing. Some notes about new supply channels, which was also good.
"And then," the General continued, "There's the matter of your liaison officer. As you know, Kapitan Hogan has been transferred to a company command of his own in the Arcturan Lancers." "He earned it," Cranston agreed. "Boy knows what he's doing." "And we've made sure to find an equally competant replacement for you. She's due for a staff rotation, a couple of years with you should do nicely." Cranston nodded again, watching for a moment as the General fiddled with papers, pulling out the new officer's record. "You'll like her," the General finally continued. "She's no stranger to combat... started as jump infantry, managed to capture a Phoenix Hawk off the Dracs, spent a year at Somerset learning to pilot... impressed the training cadre enough to take another year in the Advanced Tactical course, and then four years with the 15th Lyran Guards. I'm sure you'll get along just fine with her." The General pushed the file folder across the desk, and Snord picked it up and flicked it open, looking the new officer's records over. "Definitely impressive, General..." That was the man's name. "... von Lergen. I'm sure Hauptmann Degurechaff will have quite the educational time with the Irregulars."
So, this crosses over... what and what?
(I see a "Kapitan Hogan" mentioned - Hogan's Heroes, maybe?)

Tanya the Evil, Battletech and a cameo of Hogan's Heroes.
(04-27-2020, 07:26 PM)hazard Wrote: Tanya the Evil, Battletech and a cameo of Hogan's Heroes. Not that my comment is enormously apropos, but I noticed that Jack Campbell (John G. Hemry), in his prequel trilogy to The Lost Fleet series, briefly mentioned a starship officer nicknamed Tanya the Wicked. Supposedly she got the name because her record is too squeaky clean, in a massively bureaucratic navy that keeps careful track of everybody's errors. The myth that's sprung up about her among her peers is that she's just that good ... at hiding the bodies. So, Hemry follows manga/anime ... well, he did name a ship the Oarai Miho....

Just a thought, would be Rincewind teaching DADA at Hogwarts Hearing about the class's "curse" He insists on changing the name to,
"How to Run Away Effectively" in which he discusses things such as Identifying Threats and Exits, Proper Footwear, Training: Endurance or Speed.
Okay. Here's one straight from the pot of crackpots here at chez Aeronaut. This will require some messing around with the timelines a bit to make it work, but I think it's doable.
B.B. Kiddo and Kim Mills are good friends celebrating their first spring break in college together by touristing it up in NYC. However, they wind up getting targeted and kidnapped by human traffickers... who fumble the attempt at first because B.B. Kiddo is a bit more than they expected. In the hullabaloo, they steal The Wrong Man's Car as a getaway vehicle. And somehow, Beatrix Kiddo, Bryan Mills, and John Wick all meet. At first, they are simply hashing the matter out and leaning towards working independently, but sharing info as it becomes available. But the kidnappers have realized who's car they stole and attempt to make a preemptive strike while the three are at John Wick's house... and kill his dog in the process. And thus, the criminal underworld is now shitting itself in abject horror as the three "bogeymen" from the past come back as a team to haunt them all. I'd pity the poor bastards, but most of them don't deserve it.

How about a Worm alternate power fic Where Tailor gains the power to command Worms.
Worms. Quote:Baaa!
Inspired by some of Valles' brainstorming about possible crossover fics.
Timeline of the Galactic Wars A Long Time Ago: * The Iscandarian Empire spreads across the Lesser and Greater Magellanic Clouds and into the Milky Way. * There, they encounter the Stellar Republic, aka the Proto-Culture. * After several rounds of mutual contact and probing, Iscandar attempts to conquer the Stellar Republic. * Iscandarian forces are stymied by the Zentraedi. The Reflex Cannon is inferior to the Wave Motion gun but the Zentraedi numerical advantage is telling. Iscandarian progress is slowed to a crawl. * The Stellar Republic creates the "Evil" series Zentraedi in an attempt to sway the course of the war. Protodeviln posess the new series and corrupt part of the Republic's forces, creating the Supervision Army. * The Supervision Army enjoys a brief period of wild success against both Stellar Republic and Iscandar. Iscandar is pressed hard as the SA attempt to gain Wave Motion tech. * Iscandar and the Stellar Republic grudgingly come to a temporary alliance against the Supervision Army and the Protodeviln. In a significant victory, most of the Protodeviln are sealed away or destroyed. * Both Iscandar and the Stellar Republic have taken massive losses and retire from the field of battle, leaving the Zentraedi to deal with the remnants of the SA. Iscandar abandons their Empire and retire to their homeworld in the LMC. The fate of the Stellar Republic remnants is unknown. Not Quite As Long Ago: * Experiments set in motion by the Protoculture and Iscandar bear fruit, as several new races arise in the Milky Way and the Magellanic Clouds. These include Jirellians, Windermereans, Zolans, Garmillans, and Humans. * The Jirellians are mostly wiped out with small contingents escaping in large Ark-ships. * Garmillas makes contact with Iscandar and begins expanding their own empire. * Garmillas and Zentraedi encounter one another. Zentraedi standing orders are to avoid Garmillas when possible due to their Micronian nature. 21st Century: * Humanity achieves interplanetary spaceflight. Settlements are established on Luna, Mars, and other bodies in the solar system. Without FTL humanity is confined to the Sol system. 217X: * A battle between Zentraedi and the Supervision Army results in a SA gunship falling through a fold fault. Bodol-Zer dispatches the Britai Adoclass fleet to search for it. 2180: * The Supervision Army gunship crash-lands on Earth. Over the next decade, it is repaired and rebuilt by human teams studying its technology. Many elements are incorporated into UN Cosmo-Fleet vessel designs. 2190: * A Garmillas scout force enters the Sol system. When they attempt to make contact, a hidden Supervision Army program in the rebuilt gunship's computer fires on them. Only one ship escapes to return and report. 2190-2199: * The rebuilt gunship, christened the SDF-1 Macross, becomes the flagship of Earth's defense as the system comes under attack by Garmillas forces. The UNCF is able to hold the inner system but cannot dislodge Garmillas forces from the outer system. * Garmillas forces resort to planet-bombs in an attempt to force the humans to submit. Most are intercepted and destroyed by UNCF forces lead by the SDF-1. * The UNCF works on constructing a second fold-capable warship, essentially copying the SDF-1. Construction is delayed repeatedly by Garmillas attacks and the need to divert resources to maintaining the SDF-1 and the rest of the fleet. 2199: The SDF-2 is completed and takes its place in Earth's defenses. The SDF-1 and a small escort fleet are dispatched to seek out the Gamillas homeworld and attempt to force a resolution. Senior officers of the mission are Admiral Juzo Okita and Rear Admiral Bruno Gloval. (05-26-2020, 02:22 PM)ECSNorway Wrote: 2199: The SDF-2 is completed and takes its place in Earth's defenses. While clearly the Zentradi won't show up until Season Three, look forward to that moment when Akira Yamamoto finally gets to take revenge for all the rotten advice Max Jenius gave her about her relationship with Storm Leader Dietz. Because there has to be at least one way to make the entire situation with Miriya's introduction funnier and more embarrassing in retrospect. And let's not forget the halloween party, where people are all in costume and we get a mistaken-identity mixup with Hikaru, Misa, Kodai, and Yuki....

When it came time to give a name to K.I.T.T.’s evil doppelganger, a completely different name was created in K.A.R.R. This stands for Knight Automated Roving Robot, and it was voiced by Peter Cullen, who was the man behind another talking vehicle: Optimus Prime from The Transformers cartoons and movies.
