Beau of the fifth Column - Let's talk about the RNC and Moderate voters

Beau discusses the fact that the odds of Biden actually trying to follow through on his 'gun ban' are pretty damn low, and if he did try, it wouldn't even be finished before the next election at which point he'd be voted out in favour of a Republican promising to get rid of said ban.

It's important to remember, all markets are regulated. A market that is not regulated will be regulated by the biggest player to the biggest player's benefit by any measure it can, up to and including criminal activity if it can get away with it.

Government regulation of the market is not, or at least should not be, about increasing the government's power over the people. It is, or at least should be, about protecting the general public from the abuses of other players on the market. There is, in fact, nothing at all wrong about regulating the market to protect organizations on the market from abuses performed by the public on them, but that's an exceptional circumstance. More common is larger groups (including companies) abusing smaller groups (including companies) and individuals for the larger groups' own gain, which is often but needs not be monetary.

It never happens outside the USA - except in totalitarian regimes that know they can get away with it. I guess you just have two bunches of stupid politicians who can't come up with anything new. Sucks to be you.
