Beethoven's 9th Video Madness thread
RE: Beethoven's 9th Video Madness thread
Dua Lipa's new video for her song "Levitating" is animated by the Japanese studio NOSTALOCK and styled after Sailor Moon:

Man, I'm still mad I never knew about Dr. Steel until years after he was active... This isn't actually him, but a very good fan impersonator.

and a nifty "making of" for it

One of the items I got on the sidebar of that one:

The way the interior set of the ship was constructed and lit is giving me ... ideas. Impractical ideas, for all they qualify as practical effects, but still.

Another fun little animation, this time a crossover. What crossover you ask? Why, DOOM and Animal Crossing. Surely the perfect match made in... er... somewhere I guess?

D'you think the Scooby-Doo imagery fooled YouTube's algorithm into adding this to the creepy music it's been pushing on me?

Some really nice harmonizing by this gal, which is probably harder to do in loop recording than with an actual group

I particularly like the blank faced slow-clap at top right

Complete with educational visuals and captions! Finally understand what the hell this song is about!

Years ago, someone (maybe it was even me) posted a version of the following video which used a Caravan Palace song as the soundtrack. However, I always wondered why the background looked "golden age of Hollywood" and had a poster for Signin' in the Rain. Well... it turns out that was because the original soundtrack was the song "Moses Supposes" from Singin' in the Rain. And I've just stumbled over the original version.

So with no further ado, allow me to present Gisoku no Moses:

I love the smell of rotaries in the morning. You know one time, I got to work early, before the rush hour. I walked through the empty carpark, I didn't see one bloody Prius or Golf. And that smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole carpark, smelled like.... ....speed.

One day they're going to ban them.
