I just finished this one and liked it a lot. Good word building and adding depth to the characters.

For the first time in *checks* 9 years, a new story from S'TarKan.
Here's chapter 1 of A Wyrm for Weaver
This a Worm crossover.
Chapter 2 has been posted on his Patreon.
For those that prefer to avoid the Pit of Voles, it's supposed to be posted on Royal Road at some point in the not-too-distant future.

What's the other side of the crossover? All searching for the character names gets me is links back to the fic.

The crossover is with an original story of S'TarKan's called Rhiyen's Deal.

uhh, Shepherd? this is the Recommendation thread, not the Update thread. I keep accidentally doing that.

mp3.1415player (relatively) recently posted as separate stories chapters from his "Bits and Pieces" threads on SB and SV.
The first is "Panic, See Her...", Where Amy Dallon goes on the warpath after something she created as a theoretical exercise got used by the E88 against her sister.

The second is "Vespa", where Taylor browbeats QA into giving her an additional Changer power effect. This one has been getting additional chapters fairly quickly.

The Enemy is a Worm/GIJoe/80s cartoons fusionwhere, it seems, if you manage not to die a villain you live to become the antihero; after getting drawn out of retirement by rampant failure and corruption in the system striking at his own again Cobra Commander is going to make the world worth conquering whether it likes it or not. COBRA always did have the cooler toys anyway...
It also has the most absolutely balls-out crazy Leviathan fight I cqan recall, which with as many permutations have shown up by now is saying rather a lot.

Note that the Side Stories threadmarks are also canon and prone to getting one-line referenced in the main story without further explanation, so best keep a second tab open for them and check post dates to read both sides of that in chronological order.

Harry Potter and the Silvertongue's Aid by MsStarryNightSky
A Harry Potter/ His Dark Materials crossover
Quote:Lyra figures out how to walk between worlds and for seven years has been searching for Will's world, with no luck so far. What she has found are countless other worlds, some of which are interesting, some of which are boring, and some of which have serious, serious issues that apparently the Powers-That-Be have decided it's *her* problem to solve. Usually these problems involve other-world-type issues - issues that Lyra might be the only person *capable* of fixing, like objects from foreign worlds that have been in the wrong place too long and are causing General Reality Weirdness.
When she's twenty-seven and one night she stumbles into the Forbidden Forest on the night Peter Pettigrew (almost) escapes, Lyra can feel something seriously, deeply wrong with this world - and there's also something wrong with this Harry kid, and Lyra has never been able to leave well enough alone in the first place. Let alone when it comes to kids that might need her help. First thing's first, she should probably stop these kids from getting eaten by that werewolf. Yeah. Werewolf.
Lyra can already tell this one's going to be a real headache.

Her Bark's Worse Than Her Bite by Double_D20

Quote:Amy Dallon. Panacea. Brockton Bay's only hero healer. Guilt-ridden, sarcastic, vindictive, an absolute mess of a teenager with a lot of issues to work through. Luckily she's discovered something truly amazing for her overall sanity. Beating people up is actually very theraputic

I have been greatly enjoying Grinding of the Sword Hero, in which Yumiella Dolknesss (protagonist of I'm the Lv99 Hidden Boss, Not the Demon Lord!) is summoned as the eponymous Sword Hero in the world of Rising of the Shield Hero. She proceeds to do Yumiella things in her typical spcially awkward/tactically terrifying/occasionally tooth-achingly cute kuudere way, inadvertently derailing a few bits of early awfulness, then intentionally interferes in some more as she becomes aware of it, and most recently got her berserk button pressed resulting in a truly Hidden Boss Fight manner. My mo3 jukebox started playing For Whom the Bell Tolls almost exactly on cue to have the opening bells as BGM for the line repeated from the previous cliffhanger and everything.
Written by Obloquy, whose spiky crescent avartar image I recognise as having been attatched to some good stuff previously too.
~120k words in 33 chapters, updates weekly on Saturdays judging by the last few

This fic really makes me want to see Maple from I Don't Want to Get Hurt, So I'll Put All My Points in Defense! as the Shield Hero, actually. It would be nothing like this, but she'f be so different from Naofumi (the OTL protagonist) while also javing the gimmick of relying on equipment special abilities in odd combinations that it's a natural match.
