“Don’t…” Is definitely not a story I am going to forget any time soon. And it’s one I regret leaving unfinished for so long. And yet, if I had originally written it in full in 2020, I am also quite sure it would have been a piece of much lower quality, so I can’t be too unhappy.

I am sure that I could have drafted a much more interconnected story for Wrangler and Beau if I had sought out to do so from the start, but at the same time the plot, characters and Kaiju in this story would also have been very different if I had drafted it in full back then.

All in all, I am glad that I have finally given OtSoT’s first not-oneshot the ending it deserves, and can only hope you guys have enjoyed reading it too!

After years of silence, Edge of the Unreal got a new chapter. It's a TRON 2.0 (as in the video game) alt-power Taylor Worm fic, that does not stick to the stations of canon at all - a year and more in-universe and the Undersiders have never even appeared, nor Lung or the Merchants, the Snoozefest Nine, or any Endbringers. Instead, remnants of Lustrum's organization (apparently) or a shady secret cabal false-flagging as them (gosh, who could that be?), Dragon, and the E88 have been the major antagonists.

Briefcase in hand, Mr. Echo appeared atop the warp pad. He studied his surroundings, finding himself inside a beachside cabin that seemed to have been recently destroyed. And the cause soon became obvious: a fierce battle was underway on the sand just beyond the house, the Crystal Gems locked in combat with none other than Blue Diamond, her ship hovering just beyond them.

“Welcome back to Earth, your majesty,” he said, opening the briefcase. He prepared to set the timer, only to realize that something wasn’t quite right. A glance to the side revealed that Yellow Diamond’s ship was also present, engaged in an arm-wrestling match with some sort of fleshy red limb emerging from the Earth’s crust. “Hmm. I never factored the Cluster into this. No matter. All things in time.”

He closed the case, slipping out of the ruined house and heading towards the abandoned town. He had planned for this–all he had to do was wait for both Diamonds to be together. And if BAINE showed up to try and stop him? He’d planned for that too.

It's an old school Ranma fic where the engagement falls to Nabiki, and she somehow turns out to be the sanest and most considerate of the girls connected to him. I think there may have been a fade-to-black after the two of them get tipsy at a beach party early on, but I haven't started the reread yet. It is listed as "rated T" so there shouldn't be anything more ecplicit than kissing and light petting IIRC.

“No, not in a public venue, and certainly not if you are not trying to challenge their authority,” Ran Fen replied, jabbing her inkbrush toward him. She was dressed in the airy silks and jewels now, with so much cloth and lace that he thought she looked rather lost in it. “Gah…. Does a wolf challenge its pack leader's decisions in the middle of a chase?”

He wrinkled his nose in consternation. “No,” he reluctantly allowed. “But standing around talking is not the same thing as the heat of a hunt!”

“You may not think so, but it is. The Empire moves its goods, its armies, its laws, on people who ‘stand around and talk’,” Ran Fen replied frostily. “You may dislike it, but when you so bluntly contradict someone in public you are challenging them in their position. If they fail to slap you down they are showing a crippling weakness to their other subordinates. If you wish to do so, by all means, but do not do so in ignorance!”

….He did understand that. Wolves were not the best example of what she spoke of, but he did understand dominance and submission displays, even if he found the form of them his fellow humans practiced very strange.

Well, he supposed that also explained some of the more outlandish clothing he’d seen too.
