The Lombardi River, so named for is gently sweeping curves and flower-filled vistas, is one of the more scenic sights to be had on Lalande 21185. A popular past-time among the tourists (especially the romantically involved ones) is to take a ride down the river on the gondola of an Undine, particularly the stretch pictured, often called St. Valentine's Bend.

I went more scientific:

One of the redweed forests in the semi-tropical band of Gatewood's dayside. The plants that evolved under Lalande's light absorb more infrared radiation than visual. The red color comes from anthocyanin compounds that help protect the plants from the increased amount of ultraviolet light that comes from constant exposure to a mildly variable red dwarf star.

After long (two month!) and careful consideration, I've put both of these on the FenWiki.
