Well, that's it for me - my computer is melting down under the strain of following all the feeds, and the guy between the keyboard and the chair isn't doing much better.
The major party leaders (except for the separatist "Bloc Quebecois" party) are all leading in their ridings, the Liberals are almost definitely getting a majority, and I'm going to bed.

Now that we know the results...
The separatist party leader didn't get elected. The Green party went back to having one Member of Parliament. The NDP went back to third-party status.
For the very first time, someone born in Ottawa is going to 24 Sussex.
And one last observation before we put this election to bed: The percentage of voters who actually voted this time around was up by eight percentage points. (And three ridings in Ottawa had over 80% of voters actually vote - but I suspect that's because of a different issue.)

Considering that the front-runners in both the Republican and Democratic races in the USA have said they're against it, Keystone XL was pretty much dead no matter who won.
But there might be hope. Pierre Trudeau was responsible for the National Energy Policy, which hurt Alberta's economy for a while; his son might want to "mend fences" and support some sort of pipeline. Maybe.

If Canada's now under a Liberal government, will Red USA declare war?
