the New Wing is provided with a 'Hallway to Nowhere' to allow/facilitate easier further expansion.
the pool is awaiting the Fusion Turbine to have the spare energy to run the Slow Fields which will emulate water.
the pond in the Dojo, I believe, is just a _really_ well done blue floor texture.

Well done, indeed. It's a very convincing illusion in that case.

You know that, because you put it there, and I know that because I read your post.
But to Alexis, it's just a really long hall that has no particular reason to be there.
Without even a "Dead End" sign.
Or even a "Road Closed to Through Traffic".

We now have a "Dead End" sign. That is all. ^_^
"Gulp," said Mag Flashlight, trying to hold back the sudden wave of nausea that passed over him.
"Disgusting...but...fascinating," Vyperpunk floated off to Mag's left, also nauseous despite her well-practiced "vampiric" resolve.
Genau'Goeg was laying on her stomach on a table in the back reaches of the Founder's Falls Icon shop. A trembling Icon employee held a rather
nasty-looking pair of scissors in her hand. Ever since she'd been handed over by Vanguard into Mag's care, Gen had been complaining of being
"itchy" on her back, and no amount of scratching seemed to help. Mag had found Gen earlier that morning, flailing and bellowing in anger and
frustration, with blood everywhere. She had used every "roughened" surface in the Legendary base in an attempt to open the protective sacs encasing
her wings, with no luck. The sacs re-sealed as soon as she'd punctured them, and her untried wings lacked the strength to open fully. This was the third
time in as many weeks he'd walked in on such a scene - and was more than a little concerned. While she didn't seem to be in pain, per say, Gen's
patience did seem to be wearing thin. Mag shifted uncomfortably and eyed Vyperpunk. For reasons unknown to him, Vyper had offered to accompany them. Maybe
she's just bored... Mag considered for a moment, before turning his attention back to the Icon employee and his charge.
"Th-th-th-th-this is the kind of work they do at the Facemaker's! This is beyond the scope of Icon's service guarantee!" The Icon employee
was doing her best to hold on to the cutting implements, regarding the dark blue draconian on the table with the same terrified countenance as a mouse,
cornered by a rattlesnake. Gen appeared to be in a considerable amount of pain - or was just merely annoyed. Her lips curled and uncurled, revealing gleaming
dagger-like teeth as she growled under her breath in broken English.
"Gen no care about scopes. Gen no care about Gary's Service Aunties," she motioned towards the still-sealed wings on her back. "Gen back
itchy. Gen try to scratch - no can reach. Friends no can help. YOU can help."
"They better give me a raise for this," the seamstress muttered under her breath and bent down, scissors at the ready. She heated the scissors over a
large, burning candle, until they were glowing hot and carefully began her first insicion. Gen grunted a little as the searing metal punctured her flesh. Mag
took the initiative and held down Gen's arms, motioning to Vyper to hold her feet.
"This is for your own good, Gen," Mag said softly to his charge. Gen looked up at him and nodded, exhaling sharply as the seamstress began to cut. A
greenish, foul-smelling fluid poured out of the ruptured sacs, gagging the seamstress. Gen's shoulders twitched like the flanks of a horse trying to
dislodge a particularly annoying fly. "Get over it and hurry up, woman!" Mag said in a hurried tone. "We can't hold her for very long!"
The seamstress, still gagging, continued to clip away at the flesh, finally creating a large enough opening for Gen's wings, still slick with fluid, to
poke out with a resounding, thoroughly disgusting "squishy" noise. A deep growl rumbled through Gen's chest as, with great effort, she spread her
webbed wings for the first time. Mag was reminded of a butterfly fresh from the chrysalis as blood filled the bat-like appendages, growing a little larger and
fuller with each beat of her heart. The seamstress nipped the last bit of protective sac from Gen's shoulders, tossed down the scissors, and ran out of the
room, screaming "I QUIT! IF I WANTED TO WORK AS A FACEMAKER, I WOULD HAVE MOVED TO THE ROGUE ISLES!" Mag and Vyper relaxed their grip on Gen's
arms and legs, and Gen arose, snapping her wings open. Pus, clear fluid, and tattered shreds of blue skin went flying as Gen shook her wings dry and strolled
outside, past the gagging customers and employees. Mag sighed and looked to Vyperpunk.
"We can never come here again..."

Edit to add: phew, I'm glad it wasn't what I was afraid of at first. I just watched Gremlins the other night, you see...

What was sundered and undone...
12-20-2008, 07:23 PM
Re: #234
Deep blue waves churned within the deadened mind as she sat lotus levitating at the end of the hall to no where. Her state of mind was somewhere between the
present day and the past overlapping in stark contrast. The mental landscape continued with the ebb and flows of the tides she focused on to sort out the
strands of thought that had held her conflicted this day. Good verses evil, regret verses what little good she'd done in her new life. The resolve
shattered by the interjection akin to that of a wild beast flailing after being stung on the snout by her namesake as the venom worked it's magics.
A long suffering sigh escaped her along with a tuft of dust from hardly used lungs as she sunk to the floor and took to wandering toward that which had
disturbed her meditation. Finely tuned and pointed ears twitched tracking down the noise amid the maze-like halls of the Legendary base finding
Genau'Goeg, the mammoth wild beast flailing and clawing at her own flesh. Mag, hopelessly trying to calm her down as the blood of the beast had painted a
new shade on the walls and effects. Grunting and huffing as she raced from object to object, scratching her back against it like a bear would on a tree.
Mag offering to take the wild one to someone who could help, Vyper knowing he was just trying to get her out of the base before she broke anything in her
blood-rage over the annoying thing that plagued her so. Talk of Icon had the dead chiming in "I'll accompany you." Mag stopping short of his
trying to talk her down with this odd sort of pause and glance toward Vyper. A glance she'd grown used to over her years. That mortal twinge when faced
with the silent stalk of her curse. Mag hid it well, Genau'Goeg never bothered to have it. Mag coaxing the snorting frustrated Gen into the teleporter to
the nearest Icon, Vyper quietly following.
At sight of the epics entrance the lessor known filtered out, the final few strays evacuating the moment Mag explained to the Icon employee what work needed to
be done. The red eyed, raven haired thing merely hovered surveying each person in passing with mild attention to detail. A process set into motion as she
turned her attention to the work of a shaken hand with blades to the back of the blue scaled one. Mag's resolve breaking down as he turned a shade green,
the stench of seeping pus wafting over Vyper with it's putrid, acidic, brine. Her intrigue winning over the compulsion to evacuate as she heard Mag
choking back the urge to vomit. "Disgusting...but...fascinating" she replied dully with her eyes tuned to the process.
The massive beast flailing under her annoyance still refused to sit still. Not like a pair of shears would effect Gen in the slightest but should the mortal
hand guiding them slip to strike true there was an epic healer present to remedy the minor issue of death. Mag in a glance emitted for Vyper to help to
contain Gen's motion for the cuts to be made. Vyper bearing this sort of amused glance back at him knowing she would do little except bleed profusely
should Genau slip into her rage. Cuts made as seepage caused Vyper's nostrils to twitch in disgust over the stench that filled the place.
The Icon employee screeching in disgust over being asked and performing the task before fleeing to the back room. Mag mentioning their inability to return in
a sighing way as both the beast and her caretaker shuffled toward the door. Vyper made no motion to exit, causing Mag to toss a questioning glance back at
her. Her reply was a fairly simple non expressive blink as the reddened eyes turned toward the mess in Gen's wake. Once again her feet unfurled to the
floor as she drifted in her way to the back of the shop following the Icon employee while Mag and Genau slipped out the front door.
The mostly harmless Vyper slithered up behind the employee who was chanting about not being paid enough as he angrily threw all his personal effects into a box
intent on truly quitting. His eye catching the reflection of something moving behind him as he whipped around startled to see her standing less than a foot
away from him. Deep red eyes peering at him over the tops of her pitch black sun glasses. A hand pulled to his chest denoting that she'd spooked him but
by looking into those red eyes he fell into a silence that froze him only to drop him to the floor unconscious.
A genuine smile shattered her stoic repose though it commuted more like an imp about to wreak havoc on an unsuspecting victim. her evil streak bubbling up
internally held her pupils wide as she stared unblinking down at the carcass at her feet a moment. A mental reset triggered after a long pause, clearing her
throat as she filtered to the janitorial closet for a bucket and some washrags and set out to clean up after the gore left behind. Only the application of
bleach and carpet cleaners managed to overpower the permeating gasses. Vyper could still smell it over the harsh cleaners though mortal would have
difficulties picking it out over the overpowering scents.
As she dumped the bucket of slime and cleaners down the drain running the tap full blast to be sure it didn't stop to further spread throughout the Icon
the employee rose from his nap. "Wh-what-" in a flickering motion Vyper was once more face to face with the employee as he backed startled once more
by her sudden closeness. Red eyes capturing his gaze as his sentence froze in his throat. Between them, a gap of five inches and a mile worth of silent
pause. The sound of her drawing breath split into a chord much akin to the first inhale of an accordion before it played.
She kept her voice in a practiced whisper as she spoke clearly, calmly and oddly commanding for her known temperament. "What did you see today,
hum?" this voice held several overlapping tones that ripped through his mind like a well practiced opera singer hitting the same tone of a glass to
shatter it into pieces. He couldn't help but recant the whole of his ordeal with Genau in great detail back at her. Again, her voice still in those
divided tones replying "That- never happened." her eyes still locked with his seemed to flare a demonic flame behind the glassy surface. "Are
you here for a makeover?" he asked as the whole affair deleted itself from his memory in an instant. Her voice switching back to her normal monotone,
breaking her locked gaze with a loft of her brow a moment "Yes, actually."

"Micheal Burns, calls himself Icarus, wanted on ten counts of armed robbery, seven of car theft, and a crapload of disturbing the peace," reported
the PPD officer, hauling the cuffed Warrior away from the teleport pad and passing him on to the guards. Behind him, a dozen more officers were doing the exact
same thing as a seemingly never ending horde of Warriors were appearing through the arrest teleporter, all in various states of injury. Bruises, energy and
frost burns, arrow wounds, cuts of all shapes and sizes... and the reports coming from Talos Islands prison hospital wing indicated there were nearly just as
many there.
"You know, I heard rumours there was a bit of a civil war brewing among the Warriors," one officer mused. "You think this is it?"
The power armoured officer next to him snorted as one of his prisoners tried to get loose. "Doubt it. If the Warriors have started that, they wouldn't
be sending the losers here." He slammed the warrior up against a wall and stuck a tranq-patch on his neck, knocking him out. "Still, most of the ones
I recognise are supposed to be working for Hector, who's the upstart from what I've heard... Hero intervention?"
"Yeah, I guess it makes sense, but look at these numbers... There has to have been a hundred and fifty of them in the last thirty minutes!" he
gestured to the teleporter, where another pile of Warriors were falling out. "Who'd be able to take down so many of them so damn fast?"
***
Neko Romanova, more commonly known as Purrfect Shield when she was working, blocked a Hewers axe with her shield, wincing as the impact raced down her arm. She
then ducked and let Dark Seraph blast him with his gauntlets. The Warrior was sent flying, crashing back into the pile of Warriors currently fighting each
other, thanks to the illusions of Purrfect Trick (Neko didn't know who the Warriors thought they were fighting, but she'd heard someone yelling about
cowardly ninja, so she assumed Tsoo)
"Just out of curiosity," Seraph wondered as Neko buried her blade in a Warriors shoulder. "Fighting an army of criminals with impressive
strength and deadly weapons isn't normally considered fun, is it?"
The Catgirl considered this, kicking the Warrior off her blade and turning to fight another. "Not usually, no," she conceded after a moment. She
ducked, got her blade in under the Warriors mace and twisted it out of his hand, then kicked him in the face. Seraph backed up from another Warriors sword,
punched him with magical glowing fists, then took to the air.
"So, it's safe to assume we're just plain crazy," he said as he just started blasting into the crowd that was trying to swarm Terrence,
sending Warriors flying in all directions. This didn't really affect the numbers , especially when Mag Flashlight headed his way and their two swarms of
angry thugs merged into one, much to the delight of both tanks.
Purrfect Shield paused, ducked a sword, let Ruff Enuff grab that Warrior by the collar of his jacket and slam him into a wall, then nodded. "It's a
strong possibility," she admitted, as her sword glowed with a red aura for a moment, and she leapt into the Tank Swarm.

Terrence staggered off of the teleporter pad, shaking his horned head and pawing at his eyes. The assembled Legendary teams goggled at him as he scratched at
and finally pulled off his muzzle, before pulling his horns off, and unbelting his tail.
Amberlee looked up from Emet, where she was busily polishing a minor scratch in the rock golem's ankle. "Ahhh.. Terrence, what?"
Terrence looked up and turned bright red, and the coruscating flash brought Gamma Emission and Emerald Blast into the base. Emerald tugging her greek finery
into a more concealing drape, and Gamma striding confidently towards the locker room, her bare breasts bouncing merrily above a rough fur breechclout, a club
over one shoulder. Amberlee turned a bright red and bent to her polishing, and Terrence shrugged, and headed towards the locker room himself.
At the inquiring looks on the one remaining Hero Sandwich member, Emerald gave one final adjustment to the drape of her tunic and chirped happily.
"I'm king Minos!" Pointing at Terrence's retreating backside, she continued. "And there go Theseus and the Minotaur!"

Aaron Blackstone could feel a migraine coming on. He knew it was purely psychological; since the merger, he hadn't had any sort of headache, except for
those brought on by blunt force trauma. Nevertheless, he could feel it building in the back of his neck and his jaw muscles. He counted backwards from ten,
first in Spanish, then in the numbering system of an arboreal species from somewhere near Wolf 359. He took a deep breath, held it, and then let it out slowly.
Finally, he turned to the immaculately dressed and coiffed man standing next to him, and said, "I just came in for a couple of pairs of socks."
"Nonsense!" exclaimed Serge, proprietor, manager, and driving force behind Icons. "One does not come to Serge for socks."
"One does, if one wants socks that are made of armor weave," commented Blackstone. He looked in the mirror. "I look like an idiot."
"You look fabulous, Mr. Blackstone. Trust Serge; he knows."
Blackstone sighed. "Look, I appreciate the effort. Really, I do. I was happy to help with your problem with the Tsoo; anyone who thinks that multicolored
ninjas are the way to go needs to join Michael Dudikoff back in the Eighties. But I don't need a new supersuit. I like what I have."
"What you have, Mr. Blackstone, is a mishmash of an armored undergarment and casual wear for the cowboy slacker."
"Exactly. It was comfortable."
"But it was not fabulous. And Serge does not allow those heroes to which he owes a debt to be unfabulous. Please, let me work my fashion magic. It will be
armored and comfortable, I promise you. And it will be fabulous!"
Blackstone looked at the suit he was wearing in the mirror. Despite the tightness of the pants, it was comfortable, and it was definitely armored. "Can we
change the color? I'm not fond of aubergine."
"What did you have in mind?"
"Green?"
Serge tapped a few controls on his Wardrobe Control Unit. The suit shifted colors, going from the deep purple to a dark green. "Serge can work with
this," he proclaimed. "Trust Serge, Mr. Blackstone. You will look--"
"If you say 'fabulous' one more time, I'm going squid and you can keep your suit."
Serge arched an eyebrow and tapped a few controls on the WCU. A holographic image of a Kheldian in Nova form appeared in front of Blackstone, wearing an
artistic, and colorful, creation that appeared to be mostly wispy scarves and glittery bangles. "Serge can work with squids," the fashion designer
responded archly.
Blackstone sighed. "Fabulous."
