The Omega Team Time Capsule has been opened!

Mm. Ajax and Superball look like they have something in common, eh?
-- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak.
The Ajax one is VERY interesting, given he's supposed to be alive, and has more or less dropped out of sight.
very cool

Very nice. I wonder if there's any new missions or content on the way to further develop the time capsule opening? Maybe a new door mission inside a kind
of "Time Capsule Museum"? --- Those who fear the darkness have never seen what the light can do.
The last letter from Branforth the Seer intrigues me the most. I picked it apart a bit to see if I could figure out what each of his 'dreams' is referencing to. I think I've got most of them... see what you guys think.
1. I. I often dream of things unbidden, secrets reveal'd and secrets hidden, Future, past, or not to be, I cannot say with certainty, But in case I won't return, these visions from my letter learn, And so before Omega leaves... I here entrust you with these dreams. 2. II. The glor'ous monarch will defend, his homeland to the bitter end, An army built to soothe all doubts, but ripples show in upstart bouts, Make you choice: red blue or gray, choose who to spurn and who obey, You'd like to think there's no price dear, but the real world is not so clear. - axis/council/5th 3. III. I saw a mirror torn apart, thousand-spiraling work of art, Behind a veil was once a fool, now its creation is its tool, Suffered from a mighty fall, seeks again to consume all, To face it our heroes prep, to win just watch that first step. - hamidon 4. IV. A peaceful race comes from afar, a living message in a jar, Find they cannot grow any more, into new flesh they are reborn, Silence breaks by the gods thunder, coexistence cast asunder, Now just one culture slow to change, not evil pure but surely strange. - Kheldians 5. V. Bloated life which has not a peer, gobbles all that mankind holds dear, The hive will grow to rise and fall, all will battle the monster tall, Across the way a mirror flow'r, has no such foes slow its devour, Not placated with scraps to eat, it's rage shall spark leader's retreat. - Devouring Earth 6. VI. A thousand men with javelin, fight to compound their master's sin, Darkly corrupt by twilight gaze, a secret deal to end our days. Hero, villain, that time forgot, what do they know that we do not? Side-by-side both sides excel, fighting for time-warped parallel. - Cimerora 7. VII. Time's river's course is left to run, till shattered by the million suns, Eternal gear comes back to warn, all must beware the coming storm, From ice and flame and tests of will, forgotten deeds one can fulfill, Has he made strong by accident, those whose acts will despair prevent? - ouroborus 8. VIII. No purse to snatch or kid to nab, is fashioned by a novel lab, But legends writ and lore create, as cohorts play and strangers rate, Easy to praise; the virtues plain, of fighting just to entertain, Endless time spent in sirens dens, yet who will save real citizens? - Praetoria (not sure on this one) 9. IX. The iron turns into crystal, their doomsday shall be missed til, When a pair of fives arrives, power flows and power drives, The spinning rod lives again, then destroyed in evil's den, Mere prelude to what bright hell, comes from drinking of the well. - something to do with incarnates (or this one) 10. X. Man kills brother; sets into motion, a hundred lifetimes of commotion, Meticulous manipulation, attempts to take this very nation, Within mirrors glow he finds a pawn, his trick forces them to take us on, We shall fall for his games no longer, that which challenges makes us stronger. - Nemesis 11. XI. The web is formed in careful craft, since fatal rescue on a raft, Wraith- beast- hulk- thief- prepare for war, the mastermind will hide no more, Let loose the tide of villain mix, heroes will gain their own new tricks, And in the end; a world fini, unless the one stops destiny. - Recluse and patrons 12. XII. Create new thing which heals or harms, accelerate the race of arms, A million more to buy and trade, the inventors must all be paid, A flood of brains rain in the town, but evil lurks to bring all down, The helmed one strikes with draining web, the war comes to a crucial head. (no clue here.. any ideas?) 13. XIII. You may have seen all that I say, or await it another day, Of many things I have not dreamt, events the gods have not yet sent, And do forgive this awful curse, the fates decree I write in verse, Wish I were there to interpret, but battle calls and must be met.

Ops has a suggestions there. --- The Master said: "It is all in vain! I have never yet seen a man who can perceive his own faults and bring the charge home against himself." >Analects: Book V, Chaper XXVI Quote: Ankhani wrote: What would I care about what OM would post, hmm? Quote:Unicorna wrote:In the other thread, Ops noted that 'a flood of brains' might refer to Brainstorm inventions. I have a different suggestion. It's more likely to refer to Doctor Brainstorm, whom the devs cooked up as a viewpoint character for the Invention System previews. They also referenced him again when power proliferation was introduced; he's apparently responsible for 'unlocking new powers' through weird crazy experiments and suchlike, meddling with the universal cosmic Origin of Power (as per the Midnight arcs), etc. As for Ajax; it's quite possible that he's the only person Superball might look at and think...this, now, is someone I can trust. If you track the timeline - the letter says the original Ajax has been dead for fifteen years. Working the math back - this guy was wearing the costume for eight years trying to fill his predecessor's shoes before the Rikti Invasion. And maybe since, at that, if he's still around. As noted...the fact that Ajax was the only member of the Omega Team not to actually make it through the portal...and thus the only member of the team not to die (or so everyone assumed at the time)... That's an interesting choice on the part of the devs. Because Ajax is the guy who signed up KNOWING it'd be a suicide mission, and WANTING it. And he didn't get to die. I'd really like to see the devs follow up on this someday. But I'm biased, of course, since clearly I have a strong attachment to the theme. -- Acyl
I'd like to know how Bearer of Aegis picked up the nickname "Negi".
-- Sucrose Octanitrate. Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode.
and aprently there is another side effect of this.
i went to do my aura mish and got sent off to redo my cape mish, but isted of going to a bunker at the end, i was sent to the memorial in atlas (set a a random door ) this is what i found. [NPC] Infantry: When Honoree returns: No trace of Hero 1 must remain. [NPC] Conscript: Omega Team Memorial: Your funeral. [NPC] Rikti Scout: Hero 1 Letter: Located [NPC] Rikti Scout: Human: Too Little: Too Late the rikti ran with the leter and when i click on the memorial, a spirit that resembled Hero 1 apperend and this is what he had to say Gehirnrustung... can you hear me? ...The Omega Team needs your help. ...I placed a protective ward on the time capsule and all of its contents before I left through the Rikti Portal... . ..What you are seeing is an aspect of myself as guardian to the capsule... ...The Rikti have stolen a single letter from the time capsule... ...I must ask you to retrieve this letter... ...I will show you the path, but you must be the one to reclaim it... so after a trip to the Rikti thieves base and betting them all up i was alowed to where a cape... again but all in all, a really nice update to a old mish.
You know, I think it would be a really good piece of setting atmosphere if they actually made a real, permanent memorial building somewhere in Atlas,
especially since its contents always have been an instantiated door mish anyway. Why the randomized location? It messes up the verisimilitude. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak.
The random door is a bug apparently. The City rep mentioned it was in City Hall itself, and it uses the new section of City Hall made for the Reichsman TF.
Huh. I hadn't heard about that.
-- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak.
Might also be part of the patch they pushed yesterday morning, I seem to reacall the notes saying something about fixing a problem with the new cape missions
