Quote:I wondered why you made Jamie's skin bone white? I suppose to hide the fact that you can't color or hide the fact that he's got hair with the beret would be my first guess.
And it would be the only guess you'd need. I meant to mention that in the email, but forgot.
Love the Kari to pieces. That's perfect.
And Seraph? Makes sense to me.

Assault rifles?!

Good lord...that's a sniper rifle, not an assault rifle! 8P (Referring to Eb's post with Kari posing with a gun...)
BTW, Commander Shepard wants her sniper rifle back.

Actually I see Buster as a Tanker. Invulnerability/Super Strength. I mean, with the punishment he takes? He'd HAVE to be!
Also I figure - let's take a bit of a cue from Undocumented Features, hey? There - he was a Nestor Series 5 with mods.
How about we make him a basic clockwork? Sure it's a little generic. But Buster's a generic kind of guy. We can spruce him up a bit with "Caution Orange" markings. Call him Buster 5.0!

Fair enough, I was going for the Ballistic gel versions... And if the consensus is for Inv/SS then I'll bow out. I've got two of those already.

We have a Tory. We have a -design- for Kari. But do we have anybody actually playing her yet? Same question goes for Grant and/or Buster.
Oh - that's right - I almost forgot. I did a design for Grant as well.

Actually the various ballistic gel "dummies" aren't "busters". The M5 people actually call them "Ted". As in BUS-Ted... MUTILA-Ted... PERFORA-Ted... You get the idea. So that could conceivably be yet another type of Mythbuster character. Although a bit more obscure than the others. ^_^

Quote:(Say - did you remake Adam without the bone-white skin? I hope so! Otherwise he looked fine.)
Yes, I did. He only looked that way to match Jamie, who, as we've already covered, was that pale to hide the hair under his beret.
Speaking of matching, should Adam and Jamie have a leveling pact? Or is Jamie's past as a centuries-old man-of-mystery and jack-of-all-trades just too overwhelming to allow him to pact with an ordinary mortal like Adam?
Grant looks pretty darn good.
Buster looks great. While I get what Fox was after with the gel version, the clockwork looks a lot more like the classic Buster. BTW, the name "Buster" by itself is already taken on Virtue -- but, IIRC, "Buster the Dummy" isn't. "Myth Buster" or "Mythbuster Buster" will both probably work, too.
It occurs to me that we can justify guns as a primary or secondary for all the Mythbusters except Buster. So if the archetype allows, and you're stuck for an idea...
Anyway, Logan, you never actually answered the question, nor did anyone else... What can we do about getting together to start playing these toons?
ETA: Hm. Clockwork Buster should probably be a bit more tan/beige and less "bare steel"... but I still really like the look.

OM made him years ago.
"I reject your reality and substitute my fist!"
You could get away with more than one buster, they have gone thought quite a few of the guys.
Buster 1: standard crash test dummy.
Buster 2.0: built out of the hand full of parts that survived from Buster 1.
Buster 3: the build team got this one, brand new buster to break all over again.
then there is Busters expanded family of replica's (the rough weight and height of the average man, woman and child.)

That's why the one that you see the screenshot above for? The one that I designed? I mentioned in the post above that he should be named "Buster 5.0". The first one that has a personality of his own.
*checks* And yes - "Buster 5.0" is available.
Speaking of having his own personality. I sort of hinted that the robotic version of Buster might start with a sort of chirpy "Chet the Safety Trooper" vibe. But I could see him developing a sort of weird "Zen"-like near-fatalism as his core program keeps getting moved from body to body as they each get destroyed.
"Be the explosion."
And yes - it would be one of the few character concepts I could think of where the Self-Destruct power is actually a part of the concept. "Don't worry, fellas! Unlike that little black duck, I CAN do this trick more than once!" ^_^
(And Bob? As to when and where we start? We can play it by ear just a bit. I'd love for the ENTIRE team to start off together at least for the first 3-4 levels or so. But if that's not possible, certainly just Adam and Jamie by themselves can start, and then the build team can follow. Say maybe spend about an hour on it tomorrow evening sometime?)

I think I should be able to swing that -- say about 9 PM EDT? Would that work for anyone/everyone?

Remember, we're starting in Praetoria...
Mm. SG invites don't work across the dimensional wall, do they? No real point in creating M5 until we find a way to get to Paragon...

Oh dear! I just realized! Friday (Today actually) is the Freedom Server Praetorian Invasion! Now mind - I don't plan on doing more than just attempting to log in, confirm that I'm there in the tutorial so I get credit for having logged into the server, and getting the HELL out - but depending on the time, it may be a problematic log in, thus taking more time. So maybe we shouldn't make plans for playing the group until the weekend or at least until after the end of the event?
(And great look for Tory, there DS!)

Doesn't Tory have a goatee?
Also, I have this idea for a YouTube video, using the opening credits narration/voice clips (The one that starts "Who are the Mythbusters?")
