Strike Force A
11-21-2012, 05:46 AM
Hello Again Everyone,
For my next question: Was the Strike Force A designation retired after World War II officially, or does it still exist in some way shape or form? I have my own ideas on that, but wanted to check fro prior art before going too far down that path.
Thanks,
-Mike

I certainly never thought about it past the WWII usage. I would imagine it would have been retired in favor of a different name for a formalized post-war military super organization, but as I'm at work and have no access to my books or notes at the moment (hell, most of my notes for IST contemporary to its writing are on 360K floppies, I haven't had access to them in years), I can't say so definitively.

That was going to be my guess as well. Thanks. I'll probably go with my plan then of re-using it, once I write up my idea I will post it.
Thanks,
-Mike

Well, let me dig them out of wherever they are now and I'll send them your way. In a suitably shielded package -- don't want to risk any more deterioration than I need to.
Thanks, Rob.

And if I can get to the post office today, said package will be on its way.
ETA: and it's off. In a few days, Rob, you will receive an absurdly-large package (given its contents). Thanks again.

Looking forward to it - it's been a while since I had the old system switched on...

The package just arrived. I'll let it warm up to room temperature, then... set it aside while I'm on course, and get back to it on the 22nd.
