Where are they now? Icepick

[Last Free Human]

So I was in the process of trying to determine where all the characters from the original books are now and I managed to get stumped on one I just could not, for the life of me, come up with anything interesting for. Icepick.
There are no obvious hooks for her character and I didn't want to just go "dead" or "in prison" or what have you, but she's just not...interesting...at all. She is basically her power, and I guess I could do something with that...except I've got a Russian super that I already used my "man becomes elemental force" card on.

Any ideas?

*shrug* Some people just quietly fade into the background and only rate media mentions when somebody wonders, well, "Where are they now?" All I can think of is for her to have married Eric "Snow Leopard" Riviere, and I don't know whether that would conflict with your thoughts on his fate.

I'm interested to see those thoughts in general; I've had some ideas of my own on that front (as witness the image of Reverend Chrome), and I wonder if we're thinking along the same lines. (At some point, for instance, I decided that Olivia "Alley Cat" Forester and Kelly "Sandblaster" Lyons are the current heads of Supertemps' Guardian and Industrial Divisions, respectively, doing just enough field work to keep their hands in.)

That's not a bad speculation; given how little space I have to work with I don't know if I can even namecheck them, but it might be something to try to work in. Keep all these historical links with the older material...

Thanks. And don't worry about squeezng it into the update book; that probably ought to be focused more on updating the mechanics than the setting anyway.

I like your ideas for Sandblaster and Alley Cat, I might have to borrow those as they are better than what I had in mind, although I would probably make Alley Cat head of the Investigation division I added in my timeline.

Still tinkering with Icepick; her description makes mention of her dislike of other people, so marriage to anyone is probably out of the question (or at least unlikely). I might make her one of those "Where Are They Now?" kind of mysteries, having her vanish into the Great White North. Not sure yet.

I'll post a few of the ones I've ironed out so far here and on my blog. I wanted to do some art for a few, but need to find the time.
