Yeah, I'm going to have to stop reading that. It's dovetailed into blatent character bashing including (but not limited to) blatent author bias and out-right ignoring facts in the manga to support his claims.
Meh. Just another bash-fic with a super-Naruto now. Oh, and the annoying shipping is growing more wearisome as time goes on. -------------------- Epsilon

One thing I'm sure your both missing at some level is that most of what we read is from the perspective of a madman. This Naruto has gone completely off the deep end. He doesn't bother to even ask people directly about things anymore. He hasn't tryed ecplining his situation to anyone. I think the only reason he has a relationship with Hinata at all is because its so easy to get her to agree with things. We are talking about a guy who can only get the important things right the first time... before this all started and can't remember how he did things the first time.
Realistically, the only charicter bashing is Sasuke and this Naruto. I mean it could simply be that Sasuke hasn't given back the scroll Kakashi gave him and he figures Naruto and Sakura won't get it if Sasuke can't. This Naruto is also rating a genin's ability to learn techs by the scale of what could a regenerator with kage level chakra reserves accomplish... and doesn't even think to think that he is over estimating was is physically possible for other genin. He just starts forming conspiracy theories. For extra fun look at Sakura, the one time he actually told her off she stopped doing the fangirl thing. Also, that Naruto hasn't figured out the simplest way to off Pedosnake. Have a few thousand clones make a few thousand explosive notes... tie them into a giant ball and send the clones off to set him up the bomb. He doesn't have the evil SI known as Sharingan so I doubt he can soak an explosion that big.
Well -- it doesn't help that he treats the whole thing like a movie. Someone dies? Well, it's okay; that doesn't matter. Every person will be back to their spots tomorrow. In fact, that's said several times throughout the fic -- that he doesn't treat it as real life because they'll all be in their same starting roles after the reset.
The other thing is: as far as I can tell, he's been in this time loop for well over a year now. Maybe even two to three or more years. Kabuto has over 250 something cards and he's looked at every single one of them in ... chapter 3, I believe. And he blithely says he's been spending months learning chakra control, music, etc. --
*nods* I'm waiting to see what happens in the long haul. Going at least somewhat insane is a definite tendency for a 'groundhog day' incident; a person can only take so many repetitions before it's not 'real' anymore. Heck, look at the Xena GD episode - even she lost it.
yeah, naruto is definitely being very blase about death and injury... the way he's treating his teammates' demises and injuries definitely shows that he's going around the bend... the entire fic seems to be from his POV, more or less, so it's not surprising that he's developing a hate-on for sasuke and kakashi.

I'd agree with you Bob, except for the fact that Hermione as she's presented in Fyre's work wouldn't do that to Harry, since she knows he'd be really hurt.
