Possible Eva-step song?
Possible Eva-step song?
#1
Quote:
"Up from the depths
Thirty stories high
Breathing fire
His head in the sky
GODZILLA!
GODZILLA!
GODZILLA!"
...the effects would be more or less obvious, I think.--
"In Soviet Russia, dice roll you!".

GODZILLA HAS A MID-LIFE CRISIS
words and music by Roy Zimmerman
1994 Watunes (BMI)
(From "Sing It Loud!" on Metaphor Records)
---
What am I doing with my life
Now that I've hit the big four-oh
I've trampled every town I've been in
Crushed the tiny rooftops in and
Now there's no place left to go
I saw my analyst this morning
I wept openly and freely
I said, "Doc, who am I really?
Just an overweight chameleon
Who's had his career."
It's been a monstrous year
What am I doing with my life
Can't even hold a steady job
I'm working every other summer
Then I hit the skids and bum around
With Mothra and The Blob
I need to boost my TVQ
According to my agent, Herschel
Do a Rogaine infomercial
Or a Donahue, or worse you'll see me
Stompin' through Lear
It's been a monstrous year
I miss the days of reigning terror over Toyko
Now they tell me that's too hokey, oh,
What do they know?!
I miss my dad
I never told him that I loved him
Guess I never shoulda shoved him
Into that volcano...
(Remember that one?)
Oh, God, I'm messin' up my life
Who'd have believed it in my youth
That I'd be bothered by the weather
Gettin' short of fiery breath or
Get so long in the tooth
I had a wife, a sweet iguana
But I didn't understand her
Then I started to philander
With an underaged salamander
In a push-up brassiere
It's been a monstrous year
It's been a monstrous year

While I did do Godzilla in one of the DW2 omake, I have some serious doubts that Doug can actually, believably manifest a properly-sized one with his established limits.
An improperly-sized one, on the other hand...

I know that Doug's area of effect is ~110ft radius, but it's never been established as to where the radius begins. If it's his CG, then yes, you're correct. OTOH, if it's from his skin, than he can manifest a full-sized Godzilla, as it's still inside his AOE Smile Of course, it would take a _lot_ of energy to pull it off...

Short answer is, his head.

Nah, I just figured you'd found a girlfriend/fiancee and she was keeping you away from all the important stuff in your life.

Hm. So, assuming the song effect pulls Doug up into the air and uses him as the "core" of Gojira-sama, big green&scaly could theoretically achieve ~200ft of height.
Of course, this robs Doug of the opportunity to wander about beneath the behemoth's feet, in grand Warner Bros style, while offering snarky commentary and generally cracking wise.
"Woith it? Maybe not, wabbit, maaaybeee not..."
Hmmm.... some googlage reports that Gojira's height was 50m for the first 15 films, so if Doug was a fan of the original classics, and *did* stay on the ground, he could generate about a 3/5 scale lizard. Angry Young Godzilla, maybe?
Further googlage attests that under other directors, Big G eventually achieved 120m of height in 1995 (Godzilla vs Destroyah) before shrinking back to something close to his original size in more recent films. So 3/5 scale is about the best Doug could pull off if he stayed groundbound, while even by placing himself in the heart of the beast he could only get to about 1/2 scale of the Kaiju King's most steroidal stature.

Well, most lizards keep growing throughout their entire lifespan, so that's not a suprise. Did Original G get melted into a puddle of goo that then grew the Son of Godzilla into an adult in the Destroyah fight anyway? See, it's not a continuity error, it's Real Science!
