Valles mentioned this back in '03 as a "magical defibrillator," and that works, I agree. I'm sure I saw another reference to it, too, but now I can't find it anywhere, and I don't recall what the powers were for that one.
But what's been nagging at me is that a month or so ago, I listened to it again, and developed a sudden *very* strong feeling that Doug could use this song to cure people who've become vampires against their will.
"Where I've become so numb without a soul
My spirit sleeping somewhere cold
Until you find it there and lead it back home"
And then I recalled once or twice seeing vampires under the control of other vampires described as "servitors," and my mind made a wild leap:
Servitor. Servant. Oh....
Possibly that would be too powerful. On the other hand, if it *did* break people free of the Servant Factor, that doesn't mean it'd change the mindsets of those who were villains *before* Arcanum infected them -- it just would mean they're no longer his unconditional loyalists. And it *doesn't* take away their powers.
Subject to approval of your GM, of course. But I felt the need to suggest it.
