A "Doug" song
A "Doug" song
#1
I'm not sure what step it could be appropriate for, but every time I listen to this, it screams Doug and his bike.

Painkiller
Judas Priest
Faster than a bullet
Terrifying scream
Enraged and full of anger
He's half man and half machine
Rides the Metal Monster
Breathing smoke and fire
Closing in with vengeance soaring high
He is the Painkiller
This is the Painkiller
Planets devastated
Mankind's on its knees
A saviour comes from out the skies
In answer to their pleas
Through boiling clouds of thunder
Blasting bolts of steel
Evils going under deadly wheels
He is the Painkiller
This is the Painkiller
Faster than a lazer bullet
Louder than an atom bomb
Chromium plated boiling metal
Brighter than a thousand suns
Flying high on rapture
Stronger free and brave
Nevermore encaptured
They've been brought back from the grave
With mankind ressurrected
Forever to survive
Returns from Armageddon to the skies
He is the Painkiller
This is the Painkiller
Wings of steel Painkiller
Deadly wheels Painkiller

The only power idea I have for this is some sorta augmentation for his bike, or whatever he's riding.*********

Yup, that's a Doug song. For the effect, I can't see it doing anything except affirming his existence. By that I mean that if he plays it for strangers, they achieve an instant understanding of who and what Doug is. Not that they know all the details of his life, but they "understand" Doug.

I think I've suggested this one before, as a 'turn it up to eleven' effect - it supercharges Doug's 'always on' powers so he's monstrously strong and fast, and absolutely unhittable, but when it's over he'd better have averted whatever armageddon is at hand because if he doesn't just pass out immediately he won't be moving very fast nor far before he does. Visually, it would probably wrap him in semi-skin-tight (except for the spikes and angles) chromed armor. Faster than a lazer bullet (dur hey? probably 'speeding bullet' made the legal department antsy) louder than an atom bomb, chromium plated boiling metal, brighter than a thousand suns... Well, aside for the boiling bit, and taking the last line as a metaphor rather than literally.
- CD, still hasn't got regular access, dammit

Works for me. And if we ever get the cycle away from Skuld, that'd fit in just fine, too. -- Bob
