And this is why I think people should actually include what they are crossing over, if its not very, common knowledge in this section of the forum... like Ranma 1/2 or OMG/AMG, or Bubblegum Crisis. I mean sure we could drop Nina Corners into the Griffith's Eclipse (say half way through)... only have her touch with technology effect magic instead. While I'm sure someone actually understood that and twitched at the mess.... I'm sure lots more people just visited the Cult of Google.

My apologies. I personally found that these stick in my mind better if I have to think about them a bit.
Mind you, Pippi Longstocking works as well.
Which is nice... but if we haven't read/seen the source its just gibberish. Thinking about how come a particular crossover is just plain wrong is one
thing... but its like people keep saying about that cover on the NewYorker. If you have to explain satire... its isn't satire.
For instance, I could obscure and start off with a tale of Nuku Nuku going to a movie rental store and bringing back a selection of movies suggested by the
store clerk including Deep Impact and Armagedon... which her brother and his work buddies watch the day before testing their next generation supercomputer
named Merlin.
Can anyone spot that crossover.... fusiony thing?

I find, for this sort of thing, that a Wikipedia search usually works better than a Google search.
(For the record, it was the Berserk reference I needed to look up.)

I want to apoligize for inadvertantly killing your post, Jinx999.

Oh dear lord. The Them intersecting with the Golden Trio. And Adam deciding that Voldemort is Just Not Fun, but liking the adventures he causes... Ohmyohmyohmy... I want to see that crossover, however it works out. Quote:For the record I was also picturing Pippy Longstockings.
Maybe it's just that I just got done reading several Good Omens fics (the FanFic Recommendation page over at TVTropes has a veritable plethora of them), but I knew who she was right away.
Though I also find the idea of Pippi+Luna pretty much remaking the world in their collective image a delightfully terrifying idea...

Then the horns kicked in...
...and my shoes began to squeak.
What I mean by 'The Cult of Google' is that when you talk to a person, in person, and mention something they don't know/remember they can give you
an indication they didn't catch the reference. 'The Cult of Google' is the phenominon that come from the internet's information seeking
capabilities. This being that everyone is suddenly an expert on everything... notablely stuff they can only quote and don't understand the meaning of the
quoted lines. In other words... they know everything about the subject except what they are talking about.
That Wikis exist as a resource and are taken more seriously than search engines at this point is of little substantial importance. Members of the Cult of
Google are unable to admit they don't really understand the subject and join discussions to quote things they dug up in the last 5 minutes of searching.
They quote them with passion and veins full of caustic vinegar. They attract their own kind to the discussion and fill the field with babble and quotes. They
aren't trolls... they usually think they are actually doing something useful / trying to belong. To paraphrase an old episode of Reboot... "They are
helping!" The arrogance and 'righteousness' that many of they exhibit are a cover... often anyway.
Not that I'm again resources with a 70-90% usefulness rate... but I call them cultists for a reason.
Just to be more in topic... Imagine the results of Washu meeting Dexter (of Dexter's Laboratory) and her reaction as he shows her, his overly big for one
lightbulb reading lamp is actually powered by a one foot by one foot carbon atom in the long disproven Bohr style. Its native to this dimension, real, and
ignores the basic subatomic physics she has been operating under for the past 20,000 years, even ignoring the scale. Let see how she responds and how she
tries to disprove the existence of a physical object.

...and Mihoshi accidentally brings Deedee into Washuu's lab... (oooOOOoooh... Wanna push the Big Red Button...)
_____
DEATH is Certain. The hour, Uncertain...
That is one of the horrors for Washu... where Mihoshi is disturbingly and impossibly lucky and breaks things from doing something stupid... DeeDee has a
nasty tendency to break stuff just to see how it explodes. See is also strong enough to rip appart random machinery... the kind that military battleships
use... and pitch it dozens of feet into other machinery. This is how she annoys her brother. DeeDee also isn't actually stupid and probably won't
break Washu's stuff without permission or if she hears the object is indestructable, but Washu is likely to see DeeDee trash Dexter's Lab. Which
Dexter will basically ignore outside complaining he has a guest and that is just plain annoying. That and yelling at her to leave. The horror for Washu is
realizing that Mihoshi is not the worse thing she could have happen in her lab.
If she sees how Dexter Thrives in a Lab that is literally being torn apart bare handed around him, she'll freak out. She'll be impressed by his work
(some of it because of how he gets things to work by jury rigging stuff she took centuries or millenium to make from random Earth tech). Just thinking that
Dexter could actually consider Mihoshi as a useful lab assistant would disrupt her world view badly.

Well, it isn't as if Earth's been abandoned in the Dirty Pair universes. (Excepting the Adam Warren one, which doesn't count.) The
Lovely Angels simply get assigned to the homeworld for a few days, that's all...

More specifically, they get assigned to the home world to investigate a green monster (one of the baseball fields) that is known to destroy people and their
careers. Basically intelligence failure on the part of a operative from off world... he was being sneaky and didn't actually bother to ask people what
specifically they meant by the 'green monster'... so it got passed up though the intelligence network distorting itself further as it goes... probably
getting cross referenced with an underworld legend.
Send in the Lovely Angels and they investigate the place... here about the nickname of the field and then go to leave in disgust. On the way out then
accidentally run across an illegal betting ring... They go to arrest the guys an accidental run across a guy in sport body paint (his team colors) on the
day's games. the guy is an infamous assassin or something and he recognizes them and things escalate (this tips off a powder key of competing criminal
factions) from there until someone does something stupid and something explodes (arms shipment for example). This is once again not their fault... they got
bad intel and ran into the exact wrong guy and the exact wrong place... they weren't even on that street where the thing blew up.
Sadly, they have great difficulty leaving Boston as they can't buy a map and the streets are randomly and suddenly One Way streets that are nonsensically
changing direction every half hour or so. Worse because of the snarled traffic its 6 hours before anyone really notices the city is half missing.

leveling half of boston is a good first step.
I'm sorry, I drove a flatbed truck around that city for 2 years, I have nothing but hate and loathing for the roads there.

Probably be the first time the Lovely Angels every got thank you notes for something that wasn't actually there fault. Half the city ends up with normal
sane traffic flow this way... the other remains like Boston... the only problem is that between the New Sane Traffic Boston and Old Traffic Boston you'd
end up creating some kind a fissure in reality. That and confuse the tourists by selling the maps of Boston that have half of it filled in and the other half
a grey area listed as Old Boston... Currently you can't actually buy a map of Boston... too much risk of getting sued for fraud.

I have a teory that the set of crossovers that should be and the set of crossovers that should not be are isomorphic.
