What's Bharain like?
02-12-2010, 02:12 AM
I'm putting together an application for a civilian position in the Department of the Navy. There are several openings in the U.S and overseas. Including Japan and Bahrain. I have a vague idea of what's it like in Japan, but no idea in Bahrain. Anyone know?

Stayed on the base when I was a 'happy' participant of D.Shield/Storm, and the only thing I wish to warn you about is:
The Taxi Drivers
They be nuckin' futs! They made a seasoned New York downtowner wet himself.

From what little I've heard through the grape vine, US Servicemen are now able to bring their dependents to Bahrain. This means that the conditions at the bases are picking up drasticly, so we have a little bit less of the Drunken Sailor thing going on since there's more to do.
