Valve released a game called Alien Swarm a few days ago. It's a Source Engine game that's completely free. Top-down, isometric co-op shooter game. You play as a bunch of marines on some colony world fighting against, well, an Alien Swarm. It feels a lot like Left 4 Dead (there's a lot of sound effects and interface elements shared between the two games). System requirements aren't horrendous and it's a heck of a lot of fun. As an added benefit, if you play two online games to completion, you get a face hugger hat for your Team Fortress 2 characters.
