Sixth sense for Video Madness
RE: Sixth sense for Video Madness
It could still be a version of Pepper's Ghost, as it's been on previous tours, with an improvement in the imaging. For just a moment, at about 3:27, it looks like we get a reflection off an entire sheet of glass, all the way into the corners of the "arch" around her performance area.

I note, by the way, that she seems to have an improved phoneme set for English. Because I could actually tell she was singing in English, even if I didn't understand all the lyrics.

Edit: As for mobility of the image(s), this video shows that in 2013, they were projecting the vocaloids along a stretch that had to be a good 70 feet wide or more, which I'd call plenty mobile. And just check out the 2017 segment. (The video, btw, shows the evolution of the live Vocaloids between 2009 and 2018.)

Here's a couple of things I came across after following some links out of a thread over on the EPU forums:

Just in case somebody was thinking of making a cross-border shopping trip next Wednesday.

Also, the state-of-the-art of government informational videos on this side of the border.

Heh. I wasn't expecting the test drive to be down a street in Manhattan. When did that happen?

not a clue, I just stumbled across that link when it was posted on another forum.

Edit: something I just noticed on rewatching the vid, on the back is a sign that reads:
"If this Rover is ROCKIN'... someone is analyzing rocks."

Couple of weeks ago I think Bob.

There was a segment of it on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Every year, the Governor General of Canada awards the Governor General's Performing Arts Awards.

Every year, the National Film Board makes short film about the winners. (Plural because there are a lot of lifetime-achievement awards handed out most years.)

It appears there's no option to embed films from the NFB website, so have a link:

A Short Film About Tegan & Sara (capitalization theirs)

(EDIT: Have a link to the Governor General's Performing Arts Awards website, which has links to all the other NFB short films about the award winners.)
