I couldn't find a good news thread after a very quick search so I started my own. Feel free to move it if there is some where more appropriate.

A couple of thoughts.  On toy sales (as in many other areas), I think there is a lack of imagination in sales departments.  As a kid I would have bought an Arcee transformers toy or a M.A.S.K. Shark vehicle if they were available and I doubt I would have been the only one.  As the quote goes "Boys play with dolls, they just call them action figures".  If nothing else I would have thought there would be a decent number of people who collect the entire set.On to sports, as the saying goes, "To finish first, first you have to finish".  You can play it safe and end up wishing you had taken a risk, and you can take a risk and be left regretting not playing it safe.  You take a chance either way.

This one always cracks me up, because the other teams threw a tantrum and tried to demand a rerace. Because being able to stand up for the entire race isn't an important part of racing, oh no...

Had my most pleasant and pain-free emergency dental appointment last week, just before the holiday.
Had a stabbing pain in a tooth that made me think it was broken -- I've had one before.

So I get in to see the dentist, he pokes around at it, tells me "Nothing wrong with the tooth that I can see."

Takes some X-rays, looks 'em over. Turns out the sinus cavity on that side is right up against the root, and sinus pressure is putting pressure on the root, causing the toothache. He suggested I invest in a box of antihistamines.

I did so. Still get occasional twinges, but pain pretty much gone.

Let me also celebrate two painfree dental experiences in the last few weeks -- I had a deep cleaning done, spanning two appointments, and was warned that my teeth and gums would be sensitive after the anesthesia wore off. No such thing, for which I am grateful. (Almost as glad as I was for the painless root canal I had done 18 months ago...)
